Peyz, a rising star in the bot lane, has signed with T1 for two years, bringing him back to compete in the LCK starting in the 2026 season.
T1 has signed Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan, a highly skilled young player, for the next League of Legends season. He’s committed to the team through 2028 and eager to showcase his abilities.
Peyz joins T1
In 2025, T1 won their sixth League of Legends World Championship, becoming the only team to ever accomplish this. They also made history by winning three championships consecutively. After the season, star player Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong announced he was leaving the team, leading to speculation about who would take his place as the team’s primary damage dealer.
The rumors are true: Peyz, the incredibly talented 19-year-old botlaner who recently won both the LCK and the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational, is joining T1. After a year playing for JD Gaming, he’s returning to South Korea. Peyz is already considered one of the best players in his position.
T1’s newest player, Peyz, shared his enthusiasm in a video message, saying he’s “very excited to start this new chapter.” With a contract extending through 2028, T1 clearly intends to invest in Peyz’s development and help him reach his full potential as a player.
T1 has finalized its 2026 League of Legends roster with the addition of Peyz. Doran has re-signed for one more year, and Oner and Keria are already contracted through 2026. Long-time team captain Faker remains under contract with T1 the longest, committed through 2029.
Peyz career
The player began his career with the Gen.G Academy in 2020. His impressive skills and strong performance quickly caught the organization’s attention, leading to a promotion to their Challengers team. He then rapidly advanced to the main team within just two years.
Peyz currently holds the record for the most kills in a single game at an international League of Legends tournament, achieving 28 kills – and even a pentakill with Kalista – during Game 2 of the MSI 2024 Finals. Playing for his previous team, he won two national championships and the MSI 2024 title. Now, with T1, can he lead them to another MSI victory, something they haven’t achieved since 2017?
