T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, who were previously on “Good Morning America” and became known for a scandal involving an affair in late 2022, are planning to get married.
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes revealed on their podcast, “Amy & T.J.,” on Tuesday that they are engaged and have been for about a month.
Holmes, 48, said they were surprised it had taken so long to discuss the news. They wanted to share it directly with everyone before anyone else did, having learned from past experiences that it’s important for them to be the ones to control the narrative about their relationship.
In December 2022, former ABC News anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes became embroiled in scandal when reports surfaced of a months-long affair while both were married to other people. They both joined ABC News in 2014 and began co-hosting the daily show “GMA3: What You Need to Know” in 2020, where they were popular with viewers for their lighthearted banter and strong on-screen connection.

They explained they hoped to reveal their relationship themselves, before news outlets like Page Six and the Daily Mail reported it first. They also talked about how the scandal had affected their well-being.
During their first podcast episode, Robach shared that their connection has been incredibly strong and supportive, calling it the most fulfilling relationship of her life.
