On Saturday evening, SZA experienced a near accident while performing in Minneapolis as part of the opening night of her joint tour with Kendrick Lamar for The Grand National Tour.
As a die-hard enthusiast, let me recount an electrifying moment captured by Pop Crave. The phenomenal hitmaker herself, at the ripe age of 35, was almost sent tumbling by her male dancing partner during their synchronized routine. It seemed as if he momentarily lost his footing and balance right smack in the middle of our mesmerizing dance!
The event occurred during a dance performance featuring a partner in a costume resembling an insect, accompanied by a video depicting a praying mantis eating its partner.
In those heart-pounding moments, I found myself momentarily off-balance, but quickly managed to steady myself, continuing my journey as if the near stumble hadn’t occurred.
The Twitter post’s caption reads, ‘SZA recovers after almost tripping during the kickoff of her concert tour.’
Fans who saw the post had a variety of opinions they were only too happy to share.

One indignant spectator expressed dismay, suggesting, “What on earth?! Let’s dismiss him. This isn’t a playground for jesting,” in reference to the unfortunate dancer.
‘Why he had to F up at the Minneapolis show?’ asked another.
In the response, a new perspective on the event was given that highlighted the efforts made to maintain the show’s smooth flow despite facing challenges.
‘That recovery was smoother than most people’s entrances!’ wrote a fan.
Some cruel commenters chose to blame SZA, and her weight in particular for the mishap.
One critic commented that it was inappropriate for larger women to perform such daring stunts, implying that no man would be able to support her.
Others pushed back defending the Grammy winner.
A passionate admirer commented, ‘She made a swift recovery without injury, then went on to perform. The internet can be incredibly envious and cruel sometimes,’ they added, ‘Many of you don’t possess even a fraction of her wealth, recognition, or skill, yet here you are criticizing over a minor slip.’

‘She didn’t stumble. The stage just wasn’t ready for that much power,’ contended another.
‘The video of the tour you shared is a blunder that SZA likely found embarrassing. One upset fan expressed their frustration.’
SZA has not made any public comment about the incident.
The tour resumes on Wednesday and continues with dates arranged throughout North America, running until June 18.
Following that, their act will perform across various European cities, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and Italy, as scheduled.
