Sylvester Stallone is a well-known director, and sources say he’s teaming up with another major talent for a new film.

According to TMZ, 79-year-old actor and filmmaker is collaborating with renowned director Quentin Tarantino, 62, on a new series.

Sylvester Stallone has gained new fans with his role in the series Tulsa King, but working with Quentin Tarantino would be his most significant directorial collaboration since Ryan Coogler directed him in Creed – a performance that earned him an Oscar nomination in 2015. He recently honored his Expendables co-star, the late Chuck Norris.

Sylvester Stallone is not expected to appear on screen in the new series, but he will be involved as a producer and creative force behind the scenes.

According to sources familiar with the project, the new series is a historical drama taking place in the 1930s. This represents a significant change from the lower-budget action movies Sylvester Stallone has been making for the last ten years.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Stallone and Tarantino for comment. 

According to the sources, the filmmakers plan to go all out to achieve the period feel. 

The series is rumored to be filmed in black and white, using older cameras to give it a softer, more classic look.

It’s no surprise that Tarantino remains committed to traditional filmmaking techniques. He’s consistently chosen to shoot his movies on film instead of switching to digital methods.

He also owns two Los Angeles movie theaters, the New Beverly and the Vista, which primarily show films projected on actual film reels.

TMZ reports that Sylvester Stallone and Quentin Tarantino are teaming up for a new show about organized crime and showgirls, complete with music from that time period.

Boxing might also be featured in the project, which would make sense given that it stars the former Rocky actor.

The show is reportedly a limited series that will only feature six episodes.

While Stallone won’t be acting in the film, his exact role behind the scenes is still unknown. He might direct, but he could also be involved as a writer or producer.

It’s still unclear what role Tarantino might play. While he could be a producer, working with Stallone, he’s also famous for writing dialogue that’s clever and complex.

Quentin Tarantino has a strong background in crime films, especially his acclaimed early work like Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. Because of this, a new series set during the Depression era would be a natural project for him to write.

Quentin Tarantino initially built his career with modern-day stories, but more recently he’s focused on films set in the past, like Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.

His 2009 war film, Inglourious Basterds, was set around the same period as the time he supposedly worked with Sylvester Stallone.

Early in his career, Stallone had a small part in the 1975 gangster film Capone, which was set in the 1930s.

News about the actor’s possible new TV show follows his recent surprise to fans: he showed off an impressively fit body, even at almost 80 years old.

Stallone posted a video on Instagram in January showing off his impressive biceps before exercising. People were amazed by how fit he still is at his age.
