Sydney’s Richest Wedding: Real Estate Elite & Fashion Faux Pas Unite!
One of Sydney’s prominent real estate moguls has formally exited the dating scene following an extravagant wedding attended by notable figures from the property industry, Jewish elite, and some intriguing personalities.
For nearly eight years, the celebration at Bondi Junction on Sunday was eagerly anticipated, and it seems that quite a number of people had their share of headaches the following morning.
Jerome Srot, a partner at the renowned real estate firm The Rubinstein Group, was the groom, and his bride was the beautiful socialite Cecilia Summer. They exchanged vows in a harmonious blend of elegance and tradition during their wedding ceremony held at Central Synagogue, which holds spiritual significance for them.
People attending the well-known synagogue, often frequented by celebrities, warmly welcomed media tycoon Rupert Murdoch – a non-Jewish individual but a staunch advocate for Israel – during his visit in December.
Additionally, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher were warmly received as they made Sydney their temporary residence for several months during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the traditional Jewish wedding canopy, known as the chuppah, the newlywed couple made their promises to each other, representing the home they are creating jointly.

On that exclusive invite list was renowned attorney Bryan Wrench, who for this special event donned his preferred double-breasted suit, a classic choice often spotted on him in court.
The “Sydney character” box was checked by Fadi Ibrahim, with his flamboyant hairdo, and his elegant spouse, Shayda.
Fadi attends events now, as he avoided prison last June when a judge in New South Wales determined that he unintentionally held $600,000 suspected to be from illegal activities.
After receiving a suspended sentence, he promised never again to find himself in circumstances where the origin of the funds might be uncertain.
Apart from the bride, groom, and their radiant presence, the true scene-stealers were undeniably the prominent real estate figures and the cast of Luxe Listings Sydney. Among them were Gavin Rubinstein, founder of TRG; Simon Cohen, a renowned buyer’s agent; Shani Costi, general manager at Costi Cohen; and Remi Lindsay, business manager at TRG.
Rubinstein, often referred to as Sydney’s most sought-after single in the Jewish community, showed up solo at an event, following confirmation by Daily Mail Australia that he had parted ways with his model partner Holly Young.
By the way, it’s been whispered that Ms. Young is now in a relationship with Richie Harkham, a close friend of Rubinstein’s and a successful winemaker from Sydney.
At the same synagogue, both the wedding ceremony and the reception welcomed a few well-known figures from the medical and cosmetic industries. Among them were Dr Shahram Shahidi, a renowned plastic surgeon from Woollahra, Babak Moini, one of the founders of Laser Clinics Australia, and Kian Moini, the proprietor of Q-Tox salon.

On the momentous occasion, one attendee, Dana Giufre, played a risky game, opting for a yellow dress worth $780 from designer Paco Rabanne. Under certain lighting conditions, this gown seemed strikingly similar to bridal white.
Dior’s key client manager, Marc James, often sought after by numerous Sydney homemakers, was observed drawing attention from the sophisticated group.
More than 150 friends and family celebrated the couple’s special day.
At The Rubinstein Group, a well-known real estate agency catering to the ultra-wealthy, featured on the hit streaming show Luxe Listings Sydney, Srot holds the position of Property Management Director.
Ms Summer is a well-known socialite and former events coordinator for Central Synagogue.
