The age-old Sydney versus Melbourne rivalry reared its head again this week.

The events transpired during the unveiling of Effie Kats’ fresh collection, which took place at the Buon Ricordo eatery situated in the suburb of Paddington, Melbourne.

The whole thing went down when Effie Kats presented her new line at the Buon Ricordo restaurant located in Sydney’s Paddington neighborhood.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t contain my excitement when I say that I made the journey from Melbourne to witness an extraordinary gathering of its most captivating “It” ladies. The occasion was graced not only by these enchanting women but also by some Sydney’s most illustrious socialites. What a night to remember!

In this group from Melbourne were Nadia Bartel, Lindy Klim, Rozilla Russian, Sarah Lucas, Jade Kisnorbo, Lana Wilkinson, and the main focus of attention, Effie Kats.

Curiously, the doyenne of Melbourne socialites, Bec Judd, was conspicuously absent.

At that time, the group from Sydney included Bernadette Fahey, Deborah Symond O’Neil, Simone Holtznagel, Anna Heinrich, Ellie Ferguson, Montana Cox, Kate Waterhouse, Sarah Ellen, and Indy Clinton.

On that day, it was quite a special event, as the socialites from Melbourne and Sydney seldom gather in ordinary occasions outside of major events like the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

While there was interstate mingling, both groups posed for some separate group photos.

It seems that the folks from Melbourne showed up at the gathering all at once, as evidenced by Elle Ferguson, who’s based in Sydney, posting a photo of the group on Instagram.

The picture features Rozalia, fashion influencer, along with makeup artist Jade Kisnorbo, designer Nadia of Henne, stylist Lana, and socialite Sarah, all striking poses upon their arrival.

In the Sydney group, there seemed to be strong camaraderie as well. Previously known Bachelor star, Anna, posted a selfie on Instagram where she’s smiling next to socialite Kate Waterhouse, their faces almost touching.

It appears that there was a mix of individuals from different states on Anna’s social media feed. In one picture, she is seen posing closely with Sydney-based model Simone and Jade Kisnorbo.

The occasion seemed lively and enjoyable, with everyone appearing to be thoroughly enjoying their evening in Sydney.

As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but notice how radiantly happy TikTok sensation Indy Clinton appeared as she gracefully departed from the venue, her smile stretching from ear to ear.

She adorned an unconventional show, protecting herself under a vibrant kid’s umbrella as it rained.

The vibrant adornment seemed slightly incongruous with Indy’s sleek, fitted black dress featuring a cut-out at the waistline.

Nadia Bartel elegantly donned a rich, floor-length chocolate-brown dress featuring a deep v-neck at the back.

Nadia chose a warm toned makeup look with lots of highlighter and a dark pink nude lip. 

The former AFL WAG was seen leaving the venue with Melbourne-based actress Sarah Ellen. 

Actress from “The Neighbors” showcased her darker side by adorning herself in a pallid makeup style and a bold, velvety black gown featuring a sizable side cutout and a brief train.

At the venue, Sarah was seen with her friend and musical partner, Josh Kempen, both bundled up in a gray hat.

Deborah Symond O’Neil, heiress to Aussie Home Loans, showcased a chic and elegant look in a beautiful, strapless white dress.

For the event, she chose to let her golden hair cascade loose, adding a touch of elegance with some sparkling earrings and a long, heavy silver necklace.

Simone Holtznagel was additionally seen departing the location, wrapping herself in a lengthy black raincoat that reached her knees.

Bondi Pilates queen Bernadette Fahey was also all smiles leaving the star-studded event. 

She cut a chic figure in a high-neck black blouse that she wore under a smart black blazer.
