Sydney Sweeney’s Wedding Woes: Trouble Brewing in Love Amid Career Frenzy?
According to a source, Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino are facing some tough times in their relationship, and they’re actively discussing whether it would be better for them to continue together or to part ways.
In 2022, the actress from Euphoria, who is 27 years old, became engaged to a businessman and producer, aged 41. However, recent reports claim that they are no longer residing together and haven’t been seen in photos since January.
She’s said to have been residing at the Beverly Hills Hotel since mid-February, following news that their May wedding had been delayed.
According to the source, Sydney and Jonathan are experiencing difficulties in their relationship, prompting them to take some space apart to consider whether rebuilding their relationship is worthwhile or if it’s time for them to part ways.
Sweeney’s rising stardom is believed to be influential, given her association with various upcoming ventures. She’s rumored to reprise her role as Cassie Howard in Euphoria and portray Christy Martin, the most renowned female boxer of the ’90s, in a biopic about her life.
Additionally, she has just completed shooting for The Housemaid alongside Brandon Skenlar, and is now preparing to portray Kim Novak in the romantic film Scandalous! This 1950s production centers around the love affair between the movie star and singer Sammy Davis Jr.

The source reported: ‘Her success is flourishing, and she’s carefully cultivating it.’ It seems that committing right now might not be the best choice. Sydney has aspirations for a family, desires to marry, but neither as hastily as initially planned nor as quickly as Jonathan prefers. Consequently, there’s a discrepancy between their expectations.
‘They don’t want to break up officially, but friends fear that is where they are heading.
‘He’s more mature than her, and she’s starting to make significant strides in her career. She needs to determine her priorities.’
Previously, Sweeney has referred to herself as a “dedicated worker,” sharing with Entertainment Tonight in 2023 that her professional commitments were causing complications in their wedding arrangements.
‘I am so busy working! I’m a workaholic and I love it, I love it,’ she said.
In 2018, there were rumors connecting the actress from The White Lotus to Chicago native Davino. Since then, they’ve collaborated professionally, with Davino serving as a co-producer on her film Anyone But You through her production company, Fifty-Fifty Films.
The movie sparked widespread rumors about a secret relationship between the actress and her co-star Glen Powell, which they eventually acknowledged and used to boost the promotion of their romantic comedy.

During his Saturday Night Live appearance in March 2024, Sweeney playfully debunked the speculations by saying they were ‘clearly false’ and emphasized that Davino is ‘my ideal guy’.
‘The wildest gossip circulating is that I was romantically involved with my colleague, Glen Powell. However, let me assure you, that’s completely unfounded.’
‘Me and my fiancé produced the movie together, and he was there the entire shoot.
I want to share that he is my ideal man, and we continue to be stronger than ever. He was kind enough to be here tonight, supporting me. Could we now focus on him?
Instead, the camera switched to Powell sitting in the audience, causing the actress to suddenly declare, “That’s not my groom-to-be! He’s in my backstage area!
Sweeney might still feel some reservations about settling down while she’s advancing in her career, which could stem from her working-class background and its lingering influence.
‘I saw my parents lose everything, and I am terrified of that,’ she told Glamour last year.
‘That fear will always be instilled in me. I’m a huge saver. I don’t just go and spend money.”

Through significant film roles and profitable endorsements with brands like Miu Miu, Armani Beauty, and Guess, the actress has amassed a substantial net worth of approximately $40 million, which suggests a healthy financial status.
Last year she shut down claims that Davino pays for everything and financially backs her projects.
She shared with Glamour that she’s an incredibly self-reliant woman who has achieved great success through diligent effort. All her accomplishments and possessions are the result of her own hard work, and she takes pride in providing for herself and her loved ones.
She referred to herself and Davino as ‘partners,’ emphasizing, ‘I want to clarify some misconceptions. It’s possible to have a thriving relationship and still achieve great success, without relying on a man for your accomplishments.’
It was evident that she wasn’t in search of a male companion earlier this week. Instead, she exuded an air of authority while sitting in the front row at Miu Miu’s Paris Fashion Week event, donning a minuscule mini-skirt and a coordinating leather jacket.
