Sydney Sweeney’s Steamy Co-Star Flirting Spree: Is Brandon Sklenar the New Love Interest?

In her most recent Instagram update, Sydney Sweeney playfully interacted with her fellow actor, Brandon Sklenar, fueling speculation about their relationship, after whispers regarding her and Glen Powell, her previous screen partner, had been circulating.

Last Friday, the 27-year-old actress posted a video showing her giggling with a casual grin while Sklenar, aged 34, effortlessly lifted her up onto his shoulder.

Shortly following news announcements about the delay of the wedding between Sweeney and her partner, restaurant owner Jonathan Davino (aged 41), who had initially scheduled their nuptials for May.

For the past three years, this duo, who ignited their romantic connection back in 2018, jointly manage a film production company named Fifty-Fifty Films.

In a series of images she labeled “as sugary as dessert,” she shared a snapshot showing her and her fellow actor (a former cast member from “It Ends With Us”) enjoying themselves and engaging in various amusements, suggesting they were on an outing to an arcade that seemed like a date.

In her post’s caption, the actress from Anyone But You, who went solo to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and donned an attention-grabbing, low-cut dress that was also worn by Sklenar, added in brackets: ‘This is my effort at a very overdue January-February photo collection, I’m sorry for the delay.’

Apart from the numerous snapshots showing her socializing with dear companions during various activities, there was also a clip featuring herself alongside her Euphoria castmate Maude Apatow at a hockey match.

She included many other photos of her spending time with her close friends on different outings.

During a specific racing event, Sweeney invited Sklenar to join her group of friends, as both were identified by their helmets.

In her pictures, there were no shots featuring Davino or his engagement ring, which wasn’t noticeable on her hand in any of the images. However, it’s worth mentioning that she generally prefers to keep her romantic affairs discrete.

Davino made his first appearance on her Instagram timeline this year, as she published a picture of them kissing, which was part of a 2024 recap that she uploaded in January.

In December 2024, they were seen in public for the last time. However, contrary to initial plans, their wedding scheduled for May has been postponed to a future, undetermined date.

As reported by TMZ, they have decided to put off their wedding for an undetermined period due to their hectic work commitments.

In December 2023, someone inquired about wedding plans with Sweeney, to which she responded that she had been extremely occupied with work.

‘I’m a workaholic and I love it, I love it,’ she told Entertainment Tonight.

During that period, there were whispers that Sweeney was in a relationship with her co-star from Anyone But You, Glen Powell. This speculation arose as they frequently engaged in flirtatious exchanges during promotional activities for their romantic comedy.

In that very year, it was whispered that Powell and his girlfriend at the time, Gigi Paris, were experiencing troubled times. Eventually, they parted ways in the spring season of 2023.

Later on, Sweeney and Powell confessed that they fueled the whispers about their relationship being more than just friends to generate interest in their upcoming romantic comedy.

After a year of rumors about an affair with Powell, Sweeney is once again generating talk similar to before, this time with her co-star from the show Housemaid, Brandon Sklenar.

In January, they were seen leaving for a Broadway show hand-in-hand, and now her Instagram post about their outing has become popular due to fans noticing the obvious chemistry between them.

On social networks, admirers debated her love life and analyzed the strategy she openly acknowledged as using to generate buzz by spreading rumors about romantic entanglements.

Since posting Courtney Salviolo on social media in 2022, Sklenar has been seeing her romantically for some time now.

It appears that the duo developed a strong connection while working, given their frequent interactions, according to Sweeney’s carousel post.

At the end of the clip she posted, he threw her over his shoulders and carried her away.

In the forthcoming psychological thriller “The Housemaid,” set to be released on Christmas Day this year, they are joined by Amanda Seyfried, whom Sweeney recently featured in an Instax snapshot.

She also shared a snapshot with her Anyone But You co-star Kaylee McGregor.

She added a picture of herself alongside her hairstylist, Gigi Vittoria. Additionally, she posted a photo featuring entrepreneur Douglas Chabbott. (This version keeps the original structure and order of the sentences, but uses more common and natural phrasing.)

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I recently took to social media to share moments from my latest outings, which included catching a thrilling hockey match alongside my Euphoria castmate and on-screen sister, the remarkable Maude Apatow.

At Madison Square Garden, it appears that Apatow captured an amusing photo of Sweeney posing by the ice, which she later shared on her post to display the stylish outline of her fashionable outfit.

Apart from that, Sweeney posted a picture showing her meeting up again with her Euphoria colleague, Barbie Ferreira – it’s worth noting she won’t be partaking in the upcoming third series along with the rest of the cast.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m excitedly looking forward to immersing myself in the captivating world of the upcoming psychological thriller, where I’ll be sharing the screen with the talented Amanda Seyfried and Michele Morrone, alongside an impressive ensemble cast.

In this movie directed by Paul Feig, inspired by Freida McFadden’s novel of the same title and written by Rebecca Sonnenshine, we follow the story of Millie (Sweeney), a young woman who’s struggling. She finds hope for a new beginning when she secures employment with an affluent couple, Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar).

In her Instagram share, Sweeney posted a picture as well, which was an endearing note from the author of “The Housemaid” book that she received. The note addressed her as the ‘ideal Millie.’

Per the synopsis, she soon learns that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.

The Housemaid is set to premiere in theaters later this year on Christmas Day.
