Sydney Sweeney trolls bathwater soap critics as she’s seen for first time since ‘creepy’ collaboration emerged
A section of Sydney Sweeney‘s followers have shown less than enthusiastic responses towards her new brand collaboration – a special edition Dr. Squatch soap bar made from her previously used bathwater.
On a Thursday, the actress from Spokane, Washington, who is known for her work in the entertainment industry, unveiled a product she endorsed named Bathwater Bliss. This announcement led to criticism from her 25 million Instagram followers, who described the product as ‘strange’ and ‘unappealing.’
On a Friday, she playfully poked fun at her critics by appearing in a white bathrobe during filming for a HEYDUDE shoe campaign.
According to the Squatch brand, the soap contains actual droplets of Sydney’s used bathwater.
This is intended as a subtle tribute to her origins in the Pacific Northwest and a playful response to the internet’s fascination with the classic blonde beauty, as mentioned in GQ.

On Thursday, Sydney mentioned in her post that she had saved some of the bathwater from the @drsquatch advertisement because you were curious about it. So, she decided to keep it.
Presenting ‘Sydney’s Bathwater Delight’ – a truly unique, highly exclusive soap crafted using my own bathwater. Mark your calendars for June 6th, 2025 to get your hands on this one-of-a-kind product at drsquatch.com! ✨
One admirer commented beneath the image showcasing the item’s attractive design, “Sydney, my dear, I adore you, yet I’m hesitant about this.
During her conversation with GQ, the star of Euphoria playfully mentioned that it feels satisfyingly complete to have fans tease about desiring her bathwater.
She noted that the soap was exceptionally soft and quite attractive. At this moment, she’s gazing at it directly. It boasts a marble-like texture with shades of blue and a hint of brown.
She also explained how Dr. Squatch managed to get her bathwater into the cleansing bar.
At the Dr. Squatch filming location, they prepared a tub especially for me. Surprisingly, I stepped into it, grabbed some soap, and we all enjoyed a brief soaking session. Afterward, they drained the water. She clarified this sequence of events.
‘I wanted to create a fragrance that reflects my roots, so I chose an outdoorsy scent with notes of pine, earthy moss, and fir, which gives it a very masculine aroma. However, I also added some urban elements to the mix.’
In the midst of the resistance, one enthusiastic spectator humorously remarked, “I’ll gladly accept 100 of these,” and received almost 3,000 ‘likes.’
Someone else wrote facetiously, ‘This is edible, right?’
Others were in disbelief, with one social media user commenting, ‘no way this is a real thing.’

Simultaneously, one individual said, “Let’s get down to business,” as another pleaded, “Could we please avoid making this commonplace.
In October 2024, Sweeney took on the role of the Seductive Body Wash Genie for Dr. Squatch’s line of Natural Body Washes, as part of a promotional campaign.
In a playful and humorous manner, she said in her advertisement, “Hey there, you lads looking a bit grubby! Fancy a dip in my bath? Wanna guess what’s on the agenda… it’s cleaning time!” This 30-second clip sparked quite a stir with its implied invitations to wash.
‘I’m sorry, but this product isn’t intended for boys; it’s designed for men. This is Dr. Squatch Natural Body Wash, offering long-lasting, authentic scents such as wood barrel bourbon, pine tar, coconut castaway, and fresh falls.’
To summarize, she assured, “Soon, you will receive the recognition you have been waiting for. I encourage you to visit drsquatch.com promptly, and let go of any lingering immaturity.
