Sydney Sweeney has dropped some clues about the potential developments for Cassie Howard in Euphoria‘s third season, based on recent interviews.
During an interview with Empire, Zoe Sweeney expressed her deep affection for her character Cassie, stating, “Cassie occupies a special place in my heart and I cherish and adore her deeply. She’s absolutely bonkers, she makes countless mistakes, and she’s deeply flawed, yet everything she does comes from love – even if it’s a melancholic kind of love. Playing such an eccentric character is a joy. Sam [Levinson] is an exceptional director to work with because I can read something, then call him and suggest we go even crazier, and he’s always on board! This season will be truly unhinged.” Upon being asked if the upcoming season would be more chaotic, Sweeney replied with a laugh, “Absolutely!
In the upcoming third season, there will be a five-year time skip, taking the characters past their high school days. This story progression is intended to delve into fresh challenges and complexities that come with adulthood. Production for Season 3 kicked off earlier this year, with a projected release date in 2026.
