Sydney Sweeney shared a heartfelt message for American soldiers stationed abroad, letting fans know her brother, Trent Sweeney, is currently deployed with the military.
The 27-year-old, a registered Republican with over 26 million Instagram followers, shared on Wednesday that she always feels happy when she gets calls from her brother while he’s deployed.
‘Thinking of all our boys and girls overseas and sending my love! Thank you for your service.’
As a lifestyle expert who follows current events, I’m hearing about a 25-year-old Air Force member who served in Korea back in November 2020. Right now, it’s uncertain whether he was part of the recent deployment of 2,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division that the Pentagon authorized earlier this week. It’s a waiting game to get confirmation on that.
Iran’s government dismissed a 15-point peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump on Wednesday. The plan aimed to end the conflict that began on February 28th with unexpected airstrikes launched by Trump and Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, which resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other officials.
In April 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic was peaking, Sweeney posted a pair of childhood photos when her brother, Trent, was leaving for basic training. She wished him good luck with a message saying that when things got difficult, he should remember his sister was even tougher than him.
The actress, who was born in Spokane and grew up in Los Angeles, has said she used to be tough on her enthusiastic gardener father and often pushed him to achieve more, especially during a challenging childhood.
After their parents, a lawyer and hotel employee, lost everything in bankruptcy, Sweeney and Trent spent nine months living in a single room at a Holiday Inn in 2013.
Last year, the Twitch streamer appeared on red carpets at movie premieres with his well-known sister, accompanying her for the films Christy and Echo Valley. He affectionately refers to a friend, Samayre Soto, as his ‘wife’.
In 2022, Trent caused a stir when he posted a photo with people wearing MAGA hats. However, he quickly explained on Instagram that the hats actually said ‘Make Sixty Great Again’ – a playful tribute to his mother, Lisa, who was celebrating her 60th birthday.
According to Deadline, actor Wyatt Russell will travel to Australia next month to start filming the live-action Gundam series for Netflix. The show is based on the popular Japanese science fiction franchise.
This autumn, the American Eagle brand ambassador will return to her role as Millie Calloway, a former convict, in the Lionsgate sequel, “The Housemaid’s Secret.” She’ll be acting alongside Michele Morrone, Amanda Seyfried, and Kirsten Dunst.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m losing it! Paul Feig – the absolute genius behind The Housemaid – is coming back! He’s going to produce and direct the movie based on Freida McFadden’s new thriller! And seriously, The Housemaid was HUGE – it made almost $400 million worldwide last year! I’m already counting down the days, knowing he’ll bring the same magic to this one. I just know it’s going to be amazing!
Sweeney really needed her next movie to succeed. Her previous three films – Christy, Eden, and Americana – had all failed to make money at the box office, earning only $2 million, $2.5 million, and $500,000 respectively.
Fans can next see the founder of SYRN return as Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Howard, the memorable and often wild social media personality, in the third season of Sam Levinson’s show Euphoria. The eight-episode season will begin streaming on HBO Max on April 12th.
The show features a talented cast including Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Eli Roth, Natasha Lyonne, Colleen Camp, Trisha Paytas, and the late Eric Dane.
Dylan Sweeney makes a brief appearance in the upcoming film The Devil Wears Prada 2, which will be released in the US and UK on May 1st. The movie also stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms, and Tibor Feldman.
Scooter Braun’s girlfriend is busy working on the film adaptation of Edith Wharton’s novel, The Custom of the Country. She’s producing and will also play the lead role of Undine Spragg, a driven woman from the Midwest, in the movie for Studiocanal.
Sweeney is currently working on several upcoming projects, including the Warner Bros. thriller I Pretended to Be a Missing Girl, Scandalous, which marks Colman Domingo’s first time directing a feature film, and Split Fiction, a sci-fi movie for Amazon MGM Studios directed by Jon M. Chu.
