Sydney Sweeney reveals she was told to ‘fix’ her face with Botox when she was just 16

Sydney Sweeney recalled when she was encouraged to get Botox in her teenage years.

The 28-year-old actress, who has said she’s never had plastic surgery, recently shared a story about being told to change her appearance before becoming famous. She opened up about being advised to ‘fix’ her face before achieving widespread recognition.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! She actually told Variety that she has really strong eyebrow muscles, and some… some person told her she needed to get Botox or she’d ruin her career! Can you even imagine? Like, someone actually told her to ‘fix’ her face?! It’s just… unbelievable. She’s perfect the way she is, and this whole thing makes me so mad for her! It’s ridiculous that she even has to deal with stuff like that. Seriously, strong eyebrow muscles are a gift!

I was only sixteen years old! Or, I was at an audition, reading my lines, and the casting director was casually eating chips, which made me think they weren’t even listening to me.

The star clearly prioritizes looking natural, and in a recent interview, she shared that she has no plans to get plastic surgery.

She told the industry magazine that she’s never had any tattoos because she’s extremely afraid of needles. She said she’s never gotten any piercings or anything similar.

‘I’m going to age gracefully,’ she declared.

The blonde bombshell added, ‘It’s really funny. I’ll see things online like “comparison pictures.”

I said, “I was only twelve in that picture! It’s natural I’d look different – I’m wearing makeup now and I’m fifteen years older.”

Okay, so she just said this in this amazing interview, and honestly, it’s everything! She basically explained that she often plays characters people either love to hate or just really disagree with, and it makes people think they have her figured out. But she says they absolutely don’t! It’s like, she’s so self-aware, and it just makes me appreciate her even more. It’s brilliant, honestly – she’s letting everyone know there’s so much more to her than what we see on screen. I’m obsessed!

She explained that when people label her a ‘sex symbol’ or assume she’s playing into that image, she actually just feels confident and is doing it for her own enjoyment and empowerment.

Sweeney expressed her hope to empower other women to embrace their bodies and feel confident, saying that no one should feel the need to hide or apologize for who they are.

In a recent interview, Anya Taylor-Joy addressed speculation about potentially joining the James Bond franchise, and revealed an unexpected connection between her new lingerie line and the iconic series.

Since gaining control over the creative direction of the series, Jeff Bezos, head of Amazon MGM, is said to be advocating for a blonde actress to be cast as the next leading female character.

Rumors really started to spread after Sweeney joined Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez at their wedding in Italy this June, especially when news came out that the couple had put money into her new lingerie company.

Now, Sweeney has addressed the Bond speculation for the very first time in the Variety cover story.

When asked about the rumors, she seemed hesitant. She simply said, ‘I can’t,’ and then remained silent for seven seconds.

‘I don’t know,’ she continued, falling silent again for another 10 seconds.

I’m not really up-to-date on all the James Bond gossip, but I’ve always loved the movies and I’m really interested to see where they take the series next.

I was really hoping to get some insight from the interview! When the journalist, Tatiana Siegel, asked if the actress would even consider reading a script someone sent her, she stayed pretty tight-lipped. It was frustrating, but she definitely didn’t give a straight answer!

The actress replied: ‘Depends on the script. I think I’d have more fun as James Bond.’

Last year, there was talk that Amazon might reboot the James Bond series with a female lead, but it appears those ideas are no longer being pursued.

But now, Sweeney is said to be in contention to be cast as one of Bond’s love interests.

A movie source said earlier this year: ‘Sydney is the top name on the casting sheet for Bond.

Director Denis Villeneuve thinks the actress is exceptionally talented and has a strong appeal to younger audiences, which is important for revitalizing the series.

They’ve spent a lot of time together, and he’s always been impressed by her quick success. She’s also physically fit and capable of doing action scenes, while still maintaining a traditionally feminine appeal, much like the iconic Bond Girls before her.

This situation is noteworthy for Sweeney, as she previously caused some surprise by attending Jeff Bezos’s extravagant wedding to Lauren Sánchez in Venice, even though she doesn’t have a close relationship with either of them.

It appears the new clothing line could be connected, as Jeff and his wife were said to have financially supported her business, according to a Us Weekly report.

Sources say the Emmy-nominated actress is planning to release a lingerie line in the near future. This news follows speculation that she may also be considered for a role as a Bond Girl.

The source said this project has been a major undertaking for her, and she’s dedicated the past year to it.

According to Puck, Ben Schwerin, a partner at the investment firm Coatue, is supporting the new lingerie line. Coatue recently invested $1 billion in the company through its Coatue Innovation Fund, with contributions from Jeff Bezos and Michael Dell.
