Sydney Sweeney reveals her shockingly tiny jeans size… and it’s SMALLER than Kim Kardashian’s

Actress Sydney Sweeney, known for her appearances in Hollywood, has shared her jean size, and it’s surprisingly petite compared to expectations.

27-year-old Euphoria star revealed she can comfortably wear size 23 jeans, a size smaller than what Kim Kardashian typically wears.

In women’s denim sizes, a 23 usually represents a 23-inch waist circumference. The hips for this size tend to range from approximately 33 to 34 inches. This measurement is commonly equivalent to a U.S. size of either 00 or 000.

In an interview with W magazine’s summer edition, the stunning woman casually mentioned that she typically wears a size 23 in jeans.

The topic emerged during their conversation, as she mentioned her intention to shed 30 lbs to portray the role of super boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming film.

She said the weight gain made her chest and bottom get ‘so huge.’

For the span of three months prior to production starting, Sweeney planned on dedicating a total of four hours daily to physical exercise.

As I embarked on my transformative journey, I openly admitted that I’ve added a healthy 30 pounds to my frame. What’s more, I’ve never felt stronger or more vibrant! This lifestyle overhaul isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about embracing strength in all its forms.

As the featured individual in this month’s unique summer edition of the Wall Street Journal, Sweeney expressed: “I joined to portray Christy, and I underwent approximately three-and-a-half months of preparation.

‘After breakfast, I spent an hour weight training. Later in the morning, I engaged in kickboxing for approximately two hours. In the evening, I wrapped up my day with another hour of weight training.’

Sweeney described her body as being ‘completely different.’

‘I didn’t fit in any of my clothes,’ she continued to the publication.

Typically, I wear a size 23 in jeans, but recently I found myself in a size 27. Along with that, my chest expanded and my behind grew significantly – it was quite astonishing! Yet, it was remarkable; I felt incredibly powerful, almost superhumanly strong.

In a striking transformation, Sweeney opted to adopt the appearance of Martin during her peak years, donning a brunette curly wig, a blue bandana, and loose-fitting attire.

From the photos taken on set, she concealed her well-known figure under a brown tunic, a blue hoodie, and casual jogging pants. Her makeup was kept to a minimum.

Martin, often referred to as ‘The Daughter of a Coal Miner’, gained recognition for her significant contribution to women’s boxing. She made history by challenging Deirdre Gogarty in a packed MGM Grand in Las Vegas back in 1996.

Following her Sports Illustrated cover feature, she made appearances on various talk shows and even had guest roles on American sitcoms.

Yet her life away from the cameras was anything but glamorous.

Martin mentioned that for over two decades, she endured mistreatment from her spouse, James ‘Jim’ Martin, who was not just her partner but also her coach.

In the biopic’s set, Sweeney underwent a remarkable change, packing on around thirty extra pounds and dramatically altering her physical appearance.

According to Sweeney, she experienced a significant change in her physique. Her chest grew larger, and her rear became quite substantial. It was quite astonishing! Yet, it was astounding as well; I felt incredibly powerful, almost indescribably strong, she shared with WSJ. She made this statement last September.

As a lifestyle guide, I’d rephrase that event more respectfully and empathetically to reflect the gravity of the situation: “On November 23, 2010, I regret to say that a tragic incident occurred where an individual inflicted multiple stab wounds and at least one gunshot wound to another person’s torso, leaving her in critical condition.

The attack reportedly occurred after an argument at home. She survived the assault.

In June 2012, Jim received a 25-year prison sentence following his conviction for both the attempted murder of the second degree and manslaughter.

Currently, Martin is employed as a promoter, and has been wedded to Lisa Holewyne, a former boxer whom he previously faced off against, since 2017. Following the end of his previous marriage, Martin publicly declared himself as a lesbian in 2017.

In May, Martin expressed her excitement about the actress accepting the task of portraying her character and mentioned that she would be more than willing to assist in preparing her for the part.

When discussing the project with TMZ, she expressed her excitement about the casting, particularly since Sweeney has a background in MMA and combative sports.

The actress disclosed that none of her garments were a good fit during her transformation process, as recently observed in early March.

On June 8, 2025, Martin and Sweeney interacted with spectators during the Champion’s Procession held in Canastota, New York.

The Hall of Fame boxer gushed over Sweeney, saying: ‘I think she is young, hot, talented.’

She mentioned that Sweeney is on the verge of creating a film that, in about two decades, fathers might choose to watch with their daughters as a means to educate them about domestic violence.

Martin, who is currently 56 years old, further emphasized the significance of the biopic as it delves into aspects beyond her boxing career and personal growth.
