After ending her engagement with Jonathan Davino, actress Sydney Sweeney has reportedly been spending time with music and entertainment entrepreneur Scooter Braun.
I was surprised to hear about the recent relationship news! Just a few weeks ago, the actress actually told people she was single when asked about her dating life. It really goes to show how quickly things can change, doesn’t it?
In a recent interview with GQ, published on Tuesday, 28-year-old actress Zendaya, known for her role in Euphoria, was asked about her relationship status.
Sydney replied: ‘I single, I don’t think I’m looking for a man right now.
This year, I realized how incredible my friends are, and that I’m capable and self-sufficient. I know I’ll be alright, and if a relationship happens, that’s great, but I don’t need it to be happy.
Sydney avoided directly answering questions about the strong connection she shared with Glen Powell while filming their movie, Anyone But You.

Honestly, she gets it. She totally gets it. She said it’s about protecting her peace of mind, her well-being. She needs to keep some things just for herself, you know? If she shared everything with the world, she’d have nothing left! It’s brilliant, really. It’s like, she needs that private space to recharge, and I completely understand that. It’s not about hiding, it’s about self-preservation and I’m so glad she said it.
This follows Sydney sharing a painful experience from when she was 16: a casting director told her to ‘fix her face’.
Actress Sydney, starring in the upcoming film Christy, shared stories about her difficult audition experiences on Live with Kelly and Mark on Tuesday.
During an interview with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Sydney discussed what it was like growing up as a child actor and how it influenced her life, especially in relation to the new movie about her life.
She explained that she began acting at a young age and faced a lot of unsuccessful auditions. She recalled instances where casting directors were unprofessional, like eating chips during her auditions.
It’s really upsetting to be told to change your appearance, especially when you’re sixteen. Growing up isn’t always easy, but you can still find joy and have fun along the way.
‘You are going to get told no way more than you are going to be told yes.’
Kelly emphasized the importance of self-awareness, saying, ‘You need to know who you are.’ Sydney simply replied, ‘You do.’

Sydney has been working to promote the new movie about boxer Christy Martin’s life story.
David Michôd’s new movie will be released in theaters on November 7th next month.
Sydney will play the character of Martin in the project, joining Ben Foster, Merritt Wever, and Katy O’Brian in the cast.
The actress intentionally gained 30 pounds to prepare for her role, as she discussed in a recent interview with Variety at the Toronto Film Festival.
The actor shared that they worked with a nutritionist, a weight trainer, and a boxing coach to help them achieve their goals.
I increased my calorie consumption and began using protein shakes and supplements, essentially eating whatever I wanted.
As someone who’s always been very active, I used to fuel my body with a lot of food – think tons of Smuckers jam, endless PB&J sandwiches, and plenty of milkshakes! It was a constant cycle of eating to keep up with everything I was doing, and honestly, it was a challenge to maintain that energy level and keep everything balanced. I was burning calories as quickly as I was consuming them, so it required a lot of effort to stay on top of it all.

Sydney also shared that she was simply happy Christy’s story was being told.
Some critics have given the film very negative reviews before it even came out, including the BBC’s culture reviewer who only awarded it two stars.
It’s hard to fully lose yourself in Christy because we’re so aware of Sydney Sweeney as a celebrity. Knowing her public image keeps us from connecting with her performance and the movie itself.
The biggest challenge with Christy is that while actress Sweeney is drawing attention to the project, her own fame ironically makes it hard for audiences to see her as the character. It’s a question of whether she can separate herself from her public image.
