Sydney Sweeney looked demented in her new trailer for her psychological thriller The Housemaid.
The actress also got screamed at by her costar Amanda Seyfried.
Daniela Workman, the 39-year-old actress known for her role in Mean Girls, was visibly furious while filming a scene as Nina Winchester, a wealthy mother. She shouted, “Where are they?! Millie threw away my notes for the PTA!”
I was so impressed watching Millie Calloway – that’s the character played by the 27-year-old who also partners with American Eagle – handle a really awkward situation! Someone threw things at her, and she just coolly told them to check their own office. It was perfect!
While Millie apologized, Nina received comfort from her husband, Andrew (Brandon Sklenar), and responded with a calm but firm, ‘Please be more careful in the future. You’ve completely ruined my day.’
Earlier, Michele Morrone, playing the character Enzo, initially appeared stern and questioned Millie about her presence. She simply responded that she was an employee.
The camera then showed Nina, looking more and more upset, glaring at them from her upstairs window.

In the movie version of Freida McFadden’s 2022 novel, directed by Paul Feig, Nina is shown surrounded by police. The film creates a suspenseful and deceptive atmosphere, suggesting that appearances can be very misleading.
This popular 336-page novel centers on Millie, who develops feelings for her neighbor Nina’s husband while secretly looking after their child and living in their attic – a space that unsettlingly can only be locked from the outside. The book is known for its shocking plot twist.
The preview only briefly shows a bloody knife and hints at Millie’s troubled history, including a past imprisonment.
Millie is a force to be reckoned with, and the trailer makes that clear. It ends with her character, covered in blood, casually demanding a sandwich, hinting at a surprisingly ruthless nature.
Sweeney and Seyfried also executive produced The Housemaid, hits US theaters on December 19.
The movie’s cast includes Elizabeth Perkins, Indiana Elle, Mark Grossman, Hannah Cruz, Megan Ferguson, and Ellen Tamaki.
The film arrives as Sweeney is in dire need of a hit after her last three movies flopped.
David Michôd’s latest film, Christy, a biopic made with a $15 million budget, had a very poor start at the box office. It’s among the twelve lowest-grossing new releases ever to open on 2,000 or more screens, earning just $2 million in total.

The sports drama about boxer Christy Martin, directed by Sweeney, has received mixed reviews from critics (66% approval based on 155 reviews), but audiences overwhelmingly love it, giving it a 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Two films starring the actress, who was born in Spokane and grew up in Los Angeles, weren’t successful in theaters in August. Her thriller, Americana, made with a $9 million budget, only earned $500,000, and Eden, directed by Ron Howard with a $55 million budget, earned just $2.5 million.
In January, actress Zendaya, known for her role in Euphoria, starred as Claire Garrett in the Apple TV+ thriller Echo Valley. The show didn’t gain much positive attention and wasn’t released in theaters, so box office numbers weren’t reported.
Last year, Sweeney starred as Julia Cornwall in the superhero movie Madame Web, directed by S. J. Clarkson. The film received largely negative reviews and earned just over $100.5 million worldwide, barely covering its production costs.
