Sydney Sweeney looks chic in an LBD as she joins glamorous Kirsten Dunst and Samara Weaving at Golden Globes bash during the Toronto Film Festival

On Saturday evening at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada, Sydney Sweeney took the lead by gracing the Road To The Golden Globes party.

Despite facing numerous controversies lately, the 27-year-old actress casually dismissed the turmoil and graced the red carpet at the event with ease.

Sydney was accompanied by renowned actors Kirsten Dunst (from Hollywood), Samara Weaving (an Australian actress) and Elizabeth Olsen (who is known for her work in Marvel movies. )

At the festival, the actress from “Christy,” who was there to publicize the biographical film about boxing legend Christy Martin, turned heads in a tasteful and classy little black dress.

The strapless dress accentuated her hourglass silhouette, while she elevated her small stature with a pair of sleek black heels.

Additionally present was Kirsten, aged 43, whose appearance glowed with elegance in a form-fitting gray gown that boasted stylish openings along the waistline.

The stunning dress fell gracefully from her shoulders, while she complemented the look with a voluminous, blow-dried hairstyle and a bold stroke of red lipstick.

At the festival, Kirsten is present to back her upcoming movie titled Roofman, where she shares screen time with Channing Tatum. Notably, both were also in attendance at the Globes party.

In a mesmerizing black see-through gown, accentuating her stunning physique, Samara Weaving also sported black lingerie underneath.

In the upcoming Toronto premiere of the movie “Carolina Caroline,” where Samara plays a leading role, she accessorized her appearance with dazzling silver jewelry and generous amounts of eyeliner to enhance her overall style.

Surrounded by great companionship, Imogen Poots chose a rougher, edgy style, donning a black dress without a back that featured lace accents.

Imogen swept her hair up and opted for a smokey-eye look and nude lip.

On a Friday, Sydney struggled to hold back tears following the viewing of Christy’s premiere at the international film festival.

In a beautiful pink Erdem corset dress, Sweeney cried openly as she lauded boxer Christy Martin, whose role she embodied in movies.

Christy, you’re truly remarkable, and it’s an immense privilege to meet you. You’ve got me on the verge of tears! Goodness gracious, your inspiration is off the charts,” she expressed to the ex-welterweight champion.

Having her by my side throughout this process was a cherished dream, yet it also brought a touch of fear since I found myself thinking, “Wow, here we are, performing all of this before her!

As a devoted admirer, I confessed my apprehension to Variety: “She is undeniably the best boxer globally, yet here I am attempting hooks and jabs, and I find myself questioning, ‘I sincerely hope I get this right?’

Martin, aged 57, stated that instead of depicting her as a beautiful and seductive Sydney, he found the actress to be portrayed as a tough and rugged Christy.

Sweeney elaborated on her commitment to the part, stating, “I prepared for about two to three months prior [to shooting]. I worked with a boxing coach, strength trainers, and nutritionists. I exercised three times a day, every single day, and during filming, I continued to train as well.

The petite star bulked up by drinking ‘a lot of milk shakes, a lot of protein shakes’.

She found it incredible to fully embody such a strong female character, which boosted her own strength. It was genuinely inspirational.

The positive response to the event marks a triumph for the Euphoria actor, who has faced criticism since the launch of the “American Eagle’s Sydney Sweeney Wears Great Jeans” campaign towards the end of July.

Some commentators suggested that the advertisements with the blue-eyed, blond woman were reminiscent of eugenics – an outdated and controversial scientific concept often endorsed by white supremacist groups.

A review conducted by The New York Times revealed that it was predominantly right-wing media outlets who amplified the controversy, following some accounts with a smaller follower base that initially expressed criticism towards it.

In March, Sweeney parted ways with her former fiancé, Jonathan Davino. It is said that she has since entered into a less serious relationship with Scooter Braun, who had a long-standing dispute with Taylor Swift regarding her master recordings.

After that, Taylor Swift re-produced the majority of her music from her initial six albums, putting out her own remakes or “Taylor’s Versions” of four of them.

People reported Sweeney and Braun spent Labor Day weekend together at Lake Tahoe.

In a delightful twist of events, just a day after announcing their engagement, Swift’s partner, Travis Kelce, unveiled his own collaboration with American Eagle – making it quite a round trip!

As a devoted admirer of Sweeney’s work, I must admit that her latest films, Americana and Eden, haven’t exactly set the box office on fire. It appears, however, that it’s not Sweeney’s presence in these movies that’s causing the problem, but rather the fact that both films have been met with underwhelming responses from critics and viewers alike.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but wonder: does Sweeney still shine as brightly as before? The answer to this burning question will surely be revealed when the much-anticipated premiere of “Christy” graces our cinema screens on November 7.
