Sydney Sweeney’s fame continues to soar, despite being embroiled in a controversy related to her involvement in the American Eagle ‘good jeans’ advertising campaign.
On a bustling Wednesday in New York City, the 27-year-old actress made her entrance to the filming location of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2‘.
The woman with blond hair was spotted making her way towards the filming location for the sequel, which is currently being produced throughout Manhattan. Sweeney donned a large, blue hoodie, pulling the hood up to conceal her features, while she carried a black umbrella.
There’s uncertainty about whether she was simply visiting a friend or if she’s involved in the highly anticipated film alongside Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, and Stanley Tucci.
Newcomers to the franchise are Patrick Brammall, Kenneth Branagh and Justin Theroux.

There is a chance that Sweeney might just have a small cameo.
American Eagle stands by Sweeney in response to online backlash over his ad campaign with the brand.
Last week, the retailer unveiled a set of ads featuring the Euphoria actress, accompanied by the slogan “Sydney Sweeney rocks denim.” However, this play on words was criticized heavily on social media due to the fact that “great genes,” historically, has been linked to eugenicists – individuals who advocate for human improvement through genetic selection.
On Friday, American Eagle posted on Instagram: “Sydney Sweeney’s Jeans: It’s Never Been About Her, But Always About the Denim – Her Tale of Blue Jeans
Let’s persistently honor the unique style each individual brings when sporting their AE jeans with self-assuredness. After all, well-fitted jeans flatter everyone.
Sydney shared that she became quite anxious when asked to be part of the campaign, as she has always admired American Eagle’s denim and the company’s stock subsequently increased by 10%.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share my exhilaration when I exclaim, “I was utterly thrilled! This was simply perfection, and I couldn’t contain my excitement.

When they expressed their desire for a denim campaign, I was filled with excitement. I thought, ‘Here it is. This is the opportunity for Syd. I can make this happen. You have no idea.’
Sydney declared that she feels ‘confident and comfortable’ in the brand’s denim.
In a statement, the celebrity from Echo Valley remarked, “American Eagle has an effortless quality to it – it achieves the ideal blend of looking polished yet remaining true to oneself.
I appreciate their dedication towards crafting items that help instill a sense of self-assurance and comfort within one’s own body, which truly speaks to me on a personal level.
American Eagle is a unique brand that has grown alongside me throughout various stages of my life, much like a trusted companion.

American Eagle’s Chief Marketing Officer, Craig Brommers, expressed that securing Sweeney as a brand ambassador holds great importance for their company since the actress is currently the trendsetting “it” figure.
He told WWD: ‘I think this is potentially one of the biggest gets in American Eagle history.
Sydney Sweeney currently embodies the trendsetter’s role, and she’s contributing significantly to our seasonal It jeans promotional campaign. In many ways, Sydney truly represents the spirit of American Eagle.
She embodies both the glamorous star on the red carpet and the friendly neighbor next door, which seems to be a common trait among Generation Z and Millennials.
