Sydney Sweeney in talks for a £45m payday as she’s offered lead role in Bollywood movie after being given the Hollywood cold-shoulder over her MAGA views

Sydney Sweeney could be swapping Hollywood for Bollywood after being offered a role in one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.

The actress seemed to be facing some distance from her Hollywood peers at the recent Emmy Awards, and is now focusing her attention on Bollywood, the massive Indian film industry.

A film production company has reportedly offered the American actress a £45 million contract to appear in a Bollywood movie that’s set to be one of the most costly ever produced.

The agreement includes a payment of £35 million, plus another £10 million in sponsorship deals. Filmmakers believe Sydney’s popularity will help the movie succeed with audiences around the world.

Sydney is set to star as a young American actress who develops a romance with a famous Indian personality. The movie is scheduled to begin filming in early 2026, with scenes shot in cities like New York, Paris, London, and Dubai.

Okay, so I heard through the grapevine that when they offered Sydney £45 MILLION, she was totally stunned – can you even imagine?! Apparently, it’s not just the money though. This project… it’s something special, and everyone thinks it could take her to a whole new level globally. I’m SO excited for her, it’s going to be huge!

No decisions have been made, but this is a significant opportunity, and Sydney is thoughtfully considering what to do.

‘Money isn’t everything, and she has many projects lined up, but this could push her to new limits as an actress,’ the insider added to The Sun.

Representatives for Syndey have been contacted by Daily Mail for comment.

This opportunity arrives at a key moment for Sydney, especially considering her quiet presence at the recent, high-profile television awards show.

While she took to the Emmys stage to present Owen Cooper with the Outstanding Supporting Actor award, Sydney was not pictured mingling with any of the celebrities backstage, nor was she seen at any of the afterparties.

Sydney was once a favorite in Hollywood, so people are wondering why she had such a small role at the Emmys. Some believe it might be connected to the recent issues she’s been dealing with.

Sydney Sweeney, known for her role in ‘Anyone But You,’ has faced criticism and controversy following a recent advertising campaign for American Eagle jeans. Some people online accused the campaign of resembling ‘Nazi propaganda,’ leading to significant backlash.

It’s also come to light that the woman is a registered Republican, and this has caused a strong and divided reaction.

In contrast, much of Sunday night’s ceremony was taken up with woke celebrities lambasting President Trump’s policies.

Four days after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, not one reference was made about the proud Republican.

On a politically charged night in Hollywood it would be amiss not to notice that Republican Sydney is at the other end of the spectrum to her Hollywood co-stars when it comes to their ideologies.

Recently, the actress was engulfed in a bizarre controversy after she appeared in an American Eagle denim campaign that had the tagline: ‘Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans,’ with critics claiming the ad was pro-eugenics and supported far-Right politics.

Experts previously told the Daily Mail that the contentious ad was intentionally attention-grabbing.

‘From a PR perspective, what we’re seeing from Sydney Sweeney isn’t a “misstep”‘, Alexandria Hurley, a Las Vegas-based publicist, said.

Okay, so Sydney *always* knows what she’s doing, even when people are losing their minds! Remember that Hooters skit on SNL? Genius! And then selling her bathwater with Dr. Squatch? Everyone was talking about it! Some people complained, of course, but she didn’t back down *at all*. She doubled down! It’s not like she messed up or anything – this is totally intentional. She’s a master strategist, I swear! She *wants* the attention, and she knows exactly how to get it. It’s brilliant!

However, this strategy was no help when it came to ticket sales for Sydney’s latest movies, which were both released in August.

Ron Howard’s $50million-budget survival thriller Eden — debuted in 664 screens  and earned just $1million.

Her movie, Americana, earned just $500,000 during its opening weekend, despite costing $9 million to make.

Next up for Sydney is her lead in the heavily promoted biopic Christy.

The actress made a remarkable transformation into boxing legend Christy Martin, piling on 30lbs for the role, with the movie receiving its world premiere to critical acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival last week.
