This year, the long-awaited third season of our popular show started shooting, with a gap between seasons due to delays that followed its premiere in January 2022.
Production delays will lead to a leap forward in the storyline’s timeline, allowing us to account for the noticeable aging of our cast members between the initial episodes and now.
In a recent conversation with Empire magazine, Sweeny shared her affection for portraying Cassie Howard in the series and hinted at exciting developments for the upcoming season.
The actor expressed deep affection for Cassie, keeping her close to heart. She may seem erratic and make numerous mistakes, but these flaws stem from a place of love, albeit sometimes tinged with sadness.
Playing a character as eccentric as she is brings so much joy. Working with Sam [Levinson] is an amazing experience because I’ll read a script and think, “Let’s make it more outrageous,” and he’s always ready to push the boundaries. This season promises to be wild and unrestrained.
Inquired about whether this current season is more chaotic than the last two, the actress from Madame Web responded affirmatively with a chuckle.
An early picture for season three was unveiled earlier this year, showcasing Zendaya reprising her role as Rue Bennett.
In the third season, we’ll see Jacob Elordi reprising his role as Nate, along with Hunter Schafer playing Jules and Alexa Demie portraying Maddy once more.
