Sydney’s renowned footballer, Kieren Jack from the Swans team, and his wife, journalist Charlotte Goodlet (who works for Channel Ten), have recently become parents to a pair of newborn twins.
On Wednesday evening, the couple joyfully announced some thrilling news on their social media accounts, accompanied by a series of heartwarming photos featuring their newborn twins – a son and a daughter.
In one image, Charlotte is seen beaming with joy as she nurses the newborns in her hospital bed.
In a different photo, Kieran exudes pride as a dad, cradling the twins in bed, with their older brother Alfie watching in awe.
The couple shared several other images of the twins sleeping, and looking animated for the camera.
‘And then there were five,’ Charlotte announced to family and friends on Instagram.
‘Introducing our beautiful little pair of Jacks. Clara Elizabeth and Hugo Mathew,’ she continued.
The twins, Clara and Hugo, made their appearance at the 37th week of pregnancy. Clara was born first, on the clock showing 3:26 in the afternoon, tipping the scales at 2.86 kilograms. Not to be outdone, her brother Hugo followed suit approximately two hours later, at 4:49pm, weighing a robust 3.54kg.
‘We are all absolutely besotted, especially Alfie who just loves “his babies”.
It’s amazing to think about how fortunate we are, enjoying twice as many cuddles, and on average, getting only one-tenth of the sleep.
Many of their celebrity friends took to the comments section to share their well wishes.
‘Congrats beautiful humans,’ TV presenter Erin Holland wrote.
Sunrise host Jessica Ridley expressed, “Charlotte, you’re simply amazing! So thrilled for you and your family!! You all look wonderful,” she concluded.
The couple welcomed their first son, Alfie, in December 2022.
In that moment, both the former captain of Sydney Swans (now 32 years old) and a news presenter delightfully posted tender images of their newborn child online.
On Boxing Day’s early morning, we were blessed with the most precious gift – our little Alfie, weighing a perfect 4.07kg. His name is Alfred Nelson Jack, and we already adore him immensely. Charlotte shared this heartfelt message.
In the photos, baby Alfie is captured wearing various blankets, with his entire family depicted in a subsequent set of images that Charlotte later shared online.
The next day, the newly-minted mother posted another family picture showing her and Kieren lovingly nestled with their little boy. Their faces were beaming uncontrollably.
‘2022. The best year yet,’ she captioned the photo.
The pair wed during a lavish Blue Mountains ceremony in November 2018.
