SXSW 2026: The De Los showcase will be a celebration of Latin music. Here’s who’s performing

De Los, the Los Angeles Times’ platform focusing on Latino culture, will be back at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas for the third consecutive year. This time, however, things are changing. Traditionally, the music festival was held on its own weekend, but in 2026, it will be combined with the film, television, and interactive portions of the event, creating a week-long experience.

Latin music made a huge splash at SXSW in 2025, and 2026 is even bigger. The festival is hosting more Latin artists than ever before, showing a clear increase in representation. The De Los showcase is part of this exciting growth.

Our event in 2024 was small and relaxed, but 2025 was a full-blown celebration! Performers like Arsenal Efectivo, who blend trap and corrido music, and Sultanes del Yonke with their unique cumbia punk sound, kept the crowd dancing all night. At times, the energy was so high people even started a mosh pit! We’re aiming to recreate that same exciting atmosphere at SXSW this year.

If you’re attending the festival in Austin, come hang out with us at Mala Fama (422 E. 6th St.) on Sunday, March 15th, starting at 8 p.m. The festival is a fantastic way to find new music, and we hope this lineup encourages you to discover some new artists, songs, or bands – even if you can’t make it to Texas!

Here’s who’s playing at the 2026 De Los showcase.

Hermanos Espinoza

Growing up in South Texas (proudly representing the 956 area code!), this musical duo blends the Norteño sound with the vibrant energy of Tejano music. Brothers Joel and Leonel Espinoza, from Edinburg, quickly gained popularity after launching their career in 2022 with the hit song “Prueba de Fuego,” which has garnered over 100 million streams. Their upbeat, accordion-driven music feels timeless and perfect for any backyard barbecue.

Noteworthy track: “Dios por Delante”

Vanita Leo

I’m a huge fan of Vanita Leo! Growing up in San Antonio with musical parents and an aunt who are both Tejano artists, it feels like music is just in her. She’s carrying on the family tradition, but totally making it her own. I love that she’s inspired by the classic 90s Tejano sound – her songs are so fun and relatable. Whether you’re nursing a broken heart or ready to get over someone, she writes songs that just get it. They’re either going to make you feel understood, or get you right up and dancing!

Noteworthy track: “Caballito”

Tropa Magica

Tropa Magica is a band formed by brothers David and Rene Pacheco, and they’re the second sibling duo performing for us. Their music reflects their East L.A. roots, blending classic cumbias with the sounds of ’90s grunge and psychedelic rock to create a truly original style. Since 2018, they’ve earned praise from well-known artists like Bomba Estéreo, Los Tigres Del Norte, and Chicano Batman.

Noteworthy track: “Ojos de Lágrimas”

Eddy

Everyone is predicting a breakout year for Eddy, whose real name is Eduardo Hernández Payán. He first gained attention after being discovered by Regional Mexican artist Diego Millán (Calle 24) and signed to his record label, Ondeados Mafia. Last year, collaborations with artists like Gabito Ballesteros and Ed Maverick established him as a rising star in the Regional Mexican music scene. Eddy is now getting ready to release his first full album, “Náufrago,” later this month.

Noteworthy track: “Ultimo Cigarro”

Nezza

You might remember Nezza from last summer when a video of her singing the national anthem in Spanish at Dodger Stadium went viral – it was her way of speaking out against immigration raids happening around Los Angeles. But Nezza is more than just that one moment. This Dominican-Colombian singer creates music with a unique blend of Spanish and English lyrics, heartfelt vocals, and a vibrant, sparkling sound, and she’s aiming for pop success on a global scale.

Noteworthy track: “Tasty”
