Swordsman Actor Teases Action-Packed Return In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

The actor who plays a popular Marvel character has hinted at a thrilling return in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. The first season on Disney+ revived characters from the original Netflix series, including Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Kingpin/Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), Vanessa Fisk (Ayelet Zurer), the Punisher/Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll).

Season 1 featured appearances from characters previously seen in other Marvel TV shows, like Yusuf Khan from Ms. Marvel (played by Mohan Kapur) and Jack Duquesne/Swordsman from Hawkeye (played by Tony Dalton). Throughout the season, the wealthy Jack Duquesne acts as a vigilante and opposes Mayor Fisk’s plans for the city, ultimately leading to his imprisonment.

In a recent conversation with Josh Wilding from ComicBookMovie, actor Wilson Dalton shared that his character, Duquesne, will be back for season two of Daredevil: Born Again. He also mentioned performing a lot of action scenes for the season, which unfortunately led to some injuries that kept him bedridden for two to three weeks. You can find his full comments below.

I did a lot of stunts for the new Daredevil project, and I ended up getting seriously injured. I was in bed for two or three weeks, and covered in bruises – I think I might have even chipped a rib.

In the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, Duquesne didn’t have a significant part. Aside from a brief appearance in a video clip of the Swordsman shown on The BB Report, he was mostly portrayed as a rich New Yorker, and didn’t get to demonstrate his fighting skills like he did in Hawkeye.

According to recent statements from the show’s team, things are going to shift in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. It looks like Wilson Duquesne will fully embrace his role as the Swordsman and be much more involved in the action, potentially escaping from prison to fight against both Fisk and the mayor’s task force targeting vigilantes.

Swordsman might also team up with Daredevil to fight Fisk, adding to Daredevil’s growing group of allies. The Punisher, who escaped from prison at the end of last season, and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) – who will appear in season 2 – are also likely candidates to join the fight.

Filming for the Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, is now complete and it will premiere on March 4, 2026. The show has already been picked up for a third season, which could mean Wilson Dalton will return as Duquesne, potentially in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, particularly those filmed in New York City.
