If you’ve played Sword of Justice for any length of time, you quickly realize that your equipment is everything. Your gear directly impacts how strong you are, defines your character’s abilities, determines how quickly you can complete challenges, and ultimately decides if you’re a powerful hero or easily defeated.
In Sword of Justice, your character’s gear is more than just simple equipment. It’s a complex system where you constantly improve items through collecting, crafting, upgrading, and customizing them with enhancements and resources. The best part? Your improvements carry over when you get new gear, so learning this system early will make you much stronger and help you progress smoothly to the very end of the game.
This guide covers everything you need to know about the Sword of Justice, including how to get and use its gears effectively, and how the crafting system works. For a quick start, check out our articles on Redeem Codes, a Beginner’s Guide, and a Tier List.
What are Gears in Sword of Justice
Your gear is the core of your fighting ability in Sword of Justice, providing the biggest and most lasting improvements to your stats. While things like Inner Skills, Willpower, and Martial Arts can give you extra benefits, upgrading your gear is the most dependable way to become stronger.
The equipment you choose directly affects how well you perform. Each item can increase your attack strength, improve your defense, raise your health, or offer special benefits found in rarer items. Gear falls into a few main types: weapons boost your attack power, armor provides defense, boots and gloves offer a good mix of stats, and accessories can improve critical hits, bypass enemy defenses, or give unique bonuses tailored to your character’s build.

Items come in different levels of rarity – starting with Blue, then Red, Purple, and finally Refined. As you get rarer items, their stats get better, and they might even have special abilities. Unique Treasures are particularly powerful, offering special qualities that can really change how you play.
As a player, I’ve noticed that gear is everything in this game – it’s how you get stronger! It affects so many things, like crafting new items, adding sockets for bonuses, enchanting things to make them even better, and even upgrading with elemental powers. Basically, if you want to really max out your character, you need to understand how gear works.
How to get Gear in Sword of Justice
In Sword of Justice, you can get equipment in several ways, but some methods are faster than others, helping you avoid getting stuck later in the game. The best and most consistent source of gear is completing dungeons – both the ones you can do every day and the ones that reset weekly. These dungeons offer a variety of useful items, including weapons, armor, materials for crafting, stones to improve your gear, and ores you can salvage.
Dreamblade Abyss is a weekly activity that gives valuable rewards like powerful equipment, items to increase your character’s strength (Willpower), and rare materials for crafting. It’s a key part of getting stronger in the game. After you reach level 60, defeating world bosses becomes essential for obtaining top-tier gear that significantly improves your stats and overall power. These bosses are challenging and best fought with a team.

Early in the game, you can get surprisingly good gear from completing stories and side quests – often purple or red items that will help you tackle tougher challenges. The in-game shops are also useful, especially the Windstorm Shop, which sells equipment boxes and crafting materials tailored to your level.
Lucky Slips let you explore dungeons further, increasing your opportunities to find valuable items. Overall, dungeons are your main source of equipment, world bosses help you gear up at the highest levels, and shops make sure you can always catch up if you fall behind.
How to Upgrade Gear in Sword of Justice
Okay, so getting new gear is fun, but what really makes my character stronger isn’t just finding new stuff – it’s making the gear I have even better! There’s this system called “Enhancing” that’s a game-changer. Instead of constantly needing to upgrade specific items, it boosts the overall power of my gear slots. That means I can swap out equipment later and still keep making progress, which is awesome!
To improve your gear, you’ll need Jade Sands and Banknotes. Focusing on upgrading your weapon and armor first will give you the biggest boost at the beginning of the game. Once you reach level 69, you can add Jades to every piece of equipment. These Jades can be upgraded to provide powerful stat bonuses that suit your playstyle.

Using Jades triggers special abilities called Jade Soul effects when you combine them in the right way. You can also add Enchantments to further improve your stats, with bonuses ranging from common to rare. Keep in mind that even a less rare Enchantment can be better than a higher-tier one, depending on how its stats roll.
You can only have one enchantment active on a piece of gear at a time, but enchantments will carry over when you upgrade your equipment. These enhancements, along with sockets and any special effects your gear has, help your equipment get better as your character grows stronger.
How to Craft Gears in Sword of Justice
Once you reach around level 60 in Sword of Justice and unlock Heavenly Crafting, you can start improving your gear significantly. This crafting system lets you create and upgrade equipment using resources like Banknotes, refined ores, meteorites, and materials found in dungeons or purchased from shops.

Equipment comes in different levels of rarity, starting with Gray and progressing to Blue, Purple, Red, and finally Orange. Better rarity means higher base stats, and often includes special perks like more damage, stronger defenses, faster ability cooldowns, increased healing, or bonuses tailored to your character class.
Once you’ve made an item, you can save its enchantments, letting you customize its stats to fit exactly what you need for tanking, dealing damage, or supporting your team. Prioritizing crafted gear that suits your class maximizes your resources, and checking the “How to Obtain” section for materials will help you farm efficiently.
