This drama series, originally shown in three parts on BBC One in 2016, is adapted from Joseph Conrad’s 1907 novel of the same title. It’s set in London during the Victorian era of the 1880s.
The story centers on Anton Verloc, a shop owner in Soho, London, who starts working as a spy for the Russian embassy. As you can imagine, this puts him in a very dangerous situation with a lot at stake.
All four episodes of the series, starring Jodie McClure as Winnie and Stephen Graham as Chief Inspector Heat, are now on Netflix. However, it’s only available until June 19th, so be sure to watch it before it’s gone!
