Suspect actor stars in exciting new British drama that’s a first for Channel 4 – and we’ve got a first look

Actor Nicholas Pinnock, who is under suspicion, has been chosen as the lead for an upcoming British drama on Channel 4 – this will be a groundbreaking move for the channel.

The film titled Beth, featuring Abbey Lee from Old’s cast, revolves around a couple who find their lives disrupted following the birth of a child.

The series will be Channel 4’s inaugural digital production, available for streaming in three 15-minute segments on YouTube and Channel 4’s streaming service, with an option to watch a single 45-minute episode on conventional television broadcast as well.

A sneak peek of the movie Beth has been revealed, featuring Pinnock and Lee portraying their characters, Joe and Molly, as a couple.

The three-part series is penned by writer and director Uzo Oleh (Edicius) and centers around a couple who are deeply in love, thriving professionally, and enjoying the good life.

Nevertheless, they yearn for a child, and following Molly’s pregnancy after years of disappointments, it seems like a “wonderful surprise” or “an extraordinary blessing.

Later on, after the birth of their baby girl named Imogen, it’s noticeable that she bears a striking resemblance to neither her mother nor her father, Joe, as she is of Caucasian descent.

Amidst chaos disrupting Joe and Molly’s lives, Joe stumbles upon a staggering revelation that could shake them to their very foundations, and perhaps even the entire world. Can Joe maintain this secret to safeguard his loved ones?

In his appreciation, Oleh expressed that the process of making character “Beth” feel real was an exceptional voyage for him.

Working alongside Nicholas and Abbey has been a privilege; their ability to add rich layers and subtlety to their acts takes the narrative to heights I never thought possible, he concluded.

As a gamer, I’ve been captivated by the masterful work of every team member, from design to cinematography, who have put their soul into creating an immersive experience that resonates deeply on both personal and universal levels. It’s almost as if they were oblivious to the times when I found myself moved to tears during scenes.

Beth will stream on YouTube and Channel 4 streaming, and will also be broadcast on Channel 4.
