Susanna Reid’s Ibiza Clubbing Spree with Sons: Planning Solo Trips Post Nest-Emptying
Susanna Reid shared that she enjoyed a night of clubbing in Ibiza with her trio of sons last summer, letting loose and having a great time. However, she confessed that she feels apprehensive about them spreading their wings and leaving home.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I shared an unforgettable summer adventure with my adult sons – Sam, Finn, and Jack (ages 22, 21, and 19 respectively) – on a vibrant party island.
In a new interview with Woman&Home, she admitted: ‘I’m not really a pub-goer, but I go clubbing.
During the day, I joined my friends for a daytime club outing, which turned out to be an extraordinary experience. Since 2018, however, I have abstained from alcohol and now mostly avoid it.
On Christmas Day, I enjoyed a Buck’s Fizz, and on my mother’s birthday, I had only half a glass of champagne. Generally, I have an alcoholic drink every couple of months or so, with a few drinks in Ibiza included. However, I no longer consume pints at the pub as I used to in my 20s.
She stated: “Abstaining from alcohol hasn’t affected my social interactions. To put it another way, in Ibiza, music serves as the primary source of intoxication!

She quipped: “Wow, once the boys move out, I’ll have so much free time! I might even head off to Ibiza by myself.
In the magazine photo session, Susanna was absolutely stunning while donning a variety of eye-catching outfits.
She presented an elegant, radiant image in a delicate green dress adorned with sparkling accents.
Afterward, she chose gold for her playful photo shoot in the tub, followed by donning two breathtaking green gowns.
Currently, Susanna resides with her trio of sons in their household in South London. However, she is well aware that this living arrangement won’t persist for a significant period.
She mentioned that her sons will eventually spread out like seeds carried by the wind. Previously, she had envisioned feeling sad when they depart. Now, however, she only feels proud that they are learning to spread their own wings and take flight on their own.
I’d like to spend as much time as possible with them, for they seem close to leaving. Translates to: I’m cherishing every moment I have left with the kids.
Additionally, I should mention that my parents are in their 80s, with my dad turning 90 this year. Spending time with them is a priority for me too.

As a lifestyle guide, I find myself nestled between generations, a unique position often referred to as the ‘Sandwich Generation.’ Yet instead of viewing this role as a burden, I embrace it as a profound privilege. The members of my family, spanning both youth and maturity, are not just companions, but cherished connections that bring immense joy and meaning to my life. We’re more than just family; we’re a tight-knit unit bound by love and shared experiences.
However, she revealed her one strict rule, which is phone-free mealtimes.
Every evening, we break bread together, and during our meals, my undivided attention is on the conversation, not on any screens. Not even a quick glance at my phone to find out about that intriguing TV show someone mentioned – a strict no-no for me.
Elsewhere in the interview, Susanna admitted she ‘loves ageing’ and considers it a ‘blessing’.
The presenter said: ‘I love ageing. Some people see age as a significant totemic number.
For me, turning 50 felt like the day that followed my 49th birthday. It’s important to note that when you reach 50, it doesn’t mean you instantly jump ahead in time.
‘Numbers at cliffs hold no significance for me; all I can think is, ‘I’m safe here now.’ Aging, however, is a gift, for it’s hard to ignore its alternatives.’
Afterward, Susanna playfully referred to Richard Madeley and Ed Balls as her “on-screen spouses” and expressed her delight in collaborating with them, saying she truly enjoys working alongside them.

Occasionally, when notable figures grace us with their presence, there’s a sparkle in their gaze, for they are about to be engaged by none other than me.
We often discuss solutions to problems found in a advice column written by Richard, alongside my friends. After considering our own suggestions, I then share his response aloud.
On Monday, when I’m with him in our shared dressing room, I plan to express, ” I’m a big fan of self-help books, stacked neatly at home. Analyzing them and figuring out what makes us and others tick is something I truly relish. It’s an enjoyable pastime for me.
She jokingly commented: “Ed’s political knowledge is so extensive that you can ask him anything; he truly is a daytime icon.
