‘Survivor’ alum Brandon Hantz charged in indictment against Bandidos motorcycle gang

Previously on “Survivor,” Brandon K. Hantz has been accused of racketeering and arson following his inclusion in a federal indictment that links him to a dangerous, cross-border motorcycle group operating out of southern Texas.

Previously famous individual was charged in Houston alongside 13 other active and former associates of the Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Gang and Mascareros Motorcycle Club, as stated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Texas on Wednesday. The 22-count indictment, made public on February 11th, accuses the Bandidos, an acknowledged “outlaw” motorcycle group, of conspiring to engage in racketeering activities and committing violent acts such as murder, attempted murder, and assault.

Travel & Experiences

On a ideal day for the “Survivor” host and producer, he enjoys a game of tennis, browsing through records at Freakbeat Records, and discovering little opportunities to bond with his loved ones.

Thirty-three-year-old Hantz, who goes by the nicknames Loco and Gun Drop, has been indicted for conspiring to engage in racketeering activities and arson. If found guilty, he may serve up to 20 years in prison for each charge.

From a passionate film enthusiast’s perspective: I, as a fervent movie-goer, am thrilled to share that the U.S. Attorney’s Office has taken an essential stride towards dismantling the notorious Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. This indictment is like the climactic scene in a gripping crime drama, bringing us one step closer to restoring peace and order on our streets.

According to Antoinette T. Bacon, Supervisory Official from the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, the Bandidos have announced a conflict with their rivals, which they are carrying out on our streets. She emphasized that such criminal activity is unacceptable in America and that the Department of Justice is determined to restore tranquility in our neighborhoods by tackling this issue head-on.

California

Law enforcement agencies in Modesto apprehended four individuals, confiscated a large quantity of illegal substances, numerous firearms and ammo, plus bomb-making components, during an extended probe into illegal activities associated with motorcycle gangs in the area.

2019 saw a brutal clash break out between the Bandidos and their rival motorcycle gang, B*EAST, in the Houston region. Federal officials claim that the national leadership of the Bandidos issued an order to attack members of B*EAST physically, even going as far as ordering acts of violence such as murder. This conflict reportedly led to gunfire being exchanged on public roads and within public buildings, with bystanders present.

The top priority for SDTX, as stated by U.S. Atty Nicholas J. Ganjei, is ensuring the security of the general public. He further explained that this indictment not only accuses heinous acts of violence, but also claims these offenses were committed in broad daylight and without concern for who might have been harmed or endangered.

Television

Boston Rob Mariano and Sandra Diaz-Twine, with their combined winnings of $3 million on “Survivor,” are returning this season as advisors for the show’s 39th edition.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, it’s estimated that the Bandidos organization has between 1,500 and 2,000 members within the United States, and an additional 1,000 to 1,500 members internationally, with a significant presence in Mexico as well.

Multiple people mentioned in the accusation are planned to show up before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dena Hanovice Palermo on Wednesday at 2 p.m. It remains uncertain if Hantz will also be present. The Department of Justice has yet to respond about this matter.

Born in Crosby, Texas, Brandon Hantz – relative of the infamous “Survivor” antagonist Russell Hantz – made appearances on “Survivor: South Pacific” (Season 23) in 2011 and “Survivor: Caramoan” (Season 26) in 2013. In the latter season, he gained notoriety for discarding his tribe’s food supplies following a disagreement with another contestant. As reported by TMZ, a family source stated that Hantz’s residence was searched by the FBI on Wednesday, and he parted ways with the Bandidos motorcycle gang last year.
