Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles to reunite with co-stars for hit show’s dramatic final season

The fifth and concluding season of “The Boys,” now in production, promises a grand gathering of the supernatural characters.

In the third season of “The Boys,” Jensen Ackles reteamed with showrunner Eric Kripke by taking on the role of Soldier Boy. Additionally, it has been announced that Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins will also be joining the cast of this popular superhero series.

In a video posted on Instagram, the actors shared the news with each other. Ackles addressed Jared saying, “We’ve got some tasks ahead,” while Padalecki responded by promising to inform Misha and then added, “Misha, it seems we have more work to tackle together.

Then, the scene shifted to Collins, who inquired, “Alright, what’s the plan now?”, followed by the appearance of the logo for The Boys. The text below stated, “Season 5 is about to get a touch more mystical.

The specific roles Padalecki and Collins might take this season are yet unclear, but according to Deadline, their appearances will likely be as guests rather than series regulars.

In addition to the duo, it’s been confirmed that Mason Dye from Stranger Things will also be part of The Boys for season 5. He’ll portray Bombsight, a Super who was previously referenced in the series as having starred in a Vought International film from the 1950s.

Although the primary “The Boys” series is concluding, Ackles will spearhead a forthcoming prequel titled “Vought Rising“, which, like the main show, is set in the 1950s.

Kripke and Paul Grellong, the show’s co-producers, revealed that the series will delve into: “A dark, intricate murder mystery set in the 1950s, exploring the beginnings of Vought, Soldier Boy’s initial adventures, and the sinister strategies of a Super known as Stormfront, who was previously identified as Clara Vought.

We’re eagerly anticipating astonishing and disturbing you with this gripping tale saturated in violence and the mysterious substance known as Compound V.

The Boys and spin-off Gen V are streaming on Prime Video.
