Halloween is coming, and fans of the show have something to look forward to! The next installment will be released on October 29th, and we’re now getting a first look at what the Winchester brothers will be up to in their newest adventure.
The new comic book series will launch just before Halloween, with a new issue released each month. Continuing the story from the popular TV show starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, the comic will follow the brothers as they continue to hunt demons, ghosts, and other supernatural creatures. Early details suggest the first issue will be a significant addition to the established Supernatural universe, and fans won’t want to miss it.

The Supernatural comics will continue the story from the TV show, taking readers back to the origins of the series’ dark magic. Along the way, the Winchester brothers will encounter a frightening new danger they must overcome before they can continue their quest to find the demon responsible for their mother’s death.
The first issue introduces a team of monster hunters investigating a string of strange fires in a rundown industrial town. It starts with the Windler Industries factory burning, and quickly spreads to include Windler employees bursting into flames. However, the source of these supernatural fires isn’t simple, particularly when Steff Windler, the company’s CEO, becomes heavily involved and seems unusually prepared for the crisis.
Those who enjoy Supernatural already know how much fun the show is, and it’s a real treat to explore its exciting universe, particularly alongside Eder Messias. When the project was first announced, the goal was to create something both realistic and entertaining, with plans to really let loose with the more fantastical elements when the story allowed.
Dynamite announced that each issue of the Supernatural comic book will feature a unique cover with a photo of the show’s popular actors. The first issue is available for pre-order now at your local comic book store.
Supernatural’s Comics History Dates Back to 2007
The world of Supernatural is growing! New comics featuring Darth Vader and Lilo & Stitch are on the way, with art by Eder Messias, who also works on Sam Wilson: Captain America. This is the fifth Supernatural comic series overall, and the first one published by Dynamite Entertainment.
The show released three limited-run comic book series, starting with Supernatural: Origins in 2007. This series explored the backstories of John, Sam, and Dean. In 2008, Rising Son focused on Dean and his experiences following in his father’s path. The third series, Beginning’s End (2010), revealed the events that caused Sam to leave his family and go to Stanford.
In 2011, DC Comics released a miniseries called Caledonia that continued the story after Beginning’s End, following Sam’s adventures in the United Kingdom while he was a student at Stanford. It’s currently unknown how long Dynamite Entertainment’s Supernatural comic series will last, but they have plans for the next four issues.
Supernatural #1 will be released on Oct. 29.
