Superman spoilers follow.
In about two weeks, the new take on James Gunn’s Superman, featuring David Corenswet, will be released. However, one of the major surprise appearances in the movie has already been unveiled.
In a chat with Jake’s Takes on YouTube, the director himself disclosed some information. If you prefer to avoid potential spoilers, it might be best to skip the following details since they contain a hint of spoiler content.
Director James Gunn announced that Bradley Cooper, famously known for his role as Rocket Raccoon in Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy series within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be bringing Jor-El, Superman’s father, to life on screen.
In the video, Gunn mentioned that he asked his good friend Cooper for help, and Cooper agreed to lend his voice for a minor role in the upcoming superhero movie.

The director recounted, “‘Hey, could you do me a favor?’ I suggested. ‘Go to England, we’ll film you in 3D, create a hologram of you, and you can portray Jor-El.’ He agreed.
Currently, I’m merely popping up for a brief moment, but there’s a chance that character Jor-El might have a more significant part in upcoming movies, hinted by Gunn: “Who knows? It could happen.
Additional actors who’ve collaborated with the director before are lending their voices for minor parts in the movie. Specifically, Michael Rooker, Pom Klementieff, and Alan Tudyk will voice the robots within the Fortress of Solitude.

In the upcoming film, while Cooper is set to play a minor character, Nicholas Hoult takes on a more substantial role by embodying Lex Luthor, Superman’s main adversary. Recently, Hoult hinted that viewers might surprisingly find themselves sympathizing with this supervillain.
The actor remarked, “Though you may disagree with his methods, you might find yourself sympathizing with him to some extent because it becomes clear that his ideas, which he sees as beneficial for mankind, hold merit.
Superman is released in cinemas on 11 July.
