Superman Kills 2 Green Lanterns With Help From DCEU Hero

As a huge DC fan, everyone knows Superman is basically the strongest hero around. He’s incredibly powerful and seems impossible to kill, except for a few things that can hurt him. But recently, a friend of his from the DC movie universe actually made Superman even stronger, and in doing so, sadly took out two Green Lanterns. It was a tough moment, but it shows just how much power is at play!

In DC K.O. #3, written by Scott Snyder and illustrated by Javier Fernández, the cosmic tournament for Darkseid’s power entered its third round with a new twist. The remaining contestants, including Superman, had to team up with an ally for a two-on-two battle.

What heroes died in battle with Superman?

Superman faced off against Green Lantern Guy Gardner, and Gardner chose his fellow Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, to support him. Superman’s second was Billy Batson, also known as Shazam. Initially, the two teams seemed evenly matched, as each hero possessed comparable abilities.

Clark Kent had a specific reason for teaming up with Billy Batson, beyond just their similar values and strength. It wasn’t even because Billy’s magical powers could potentially harm Superman, as magic is one of Superman’s few weaknesses. Instead, Clark chose Billy because of Billy’s unique ability to share his powers with others – something Superman can’t do.

It was heartbreaking, honestly. Billy, he just wanted to fight with Superman, his idol. But when he was seriously hurt, he didn’t even think twice. He shouted ‘Shazam!’ and called down the lightning, directing it right at Superman. It was crazy to watch! Superman, powered up by the magic, quickly defeated both Green Lanterns, but you could tell he didn’t want to, which made it even sadder.
