Superman has made his grand cinema debut, officially kicking off the DC Universe following a preliminary introduction through the TV series “Creature Commandos.
Since it’s the beginning of a fresh universe, it wouldn’t be surprising if you assumed Superman had something in store after the credits as a hint at what lies ahead. This is because writer/director James Gunn has a wealth of experience with credit scenes from his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
If you plan on watching Superman this coming weekend, here’s a comprehensive rundown of the credit scenes that you might find useful.
How many credit scenes does Superman have?
It’s been verified that after the main movie, there are two additional scenes featuring Superman if you wish to catch all of them.
Instead of the credits, there’s a short scene appearing in the middle and another long one at the end. Interestingly, these scenes aren’t previews for upcoming events, so it’s okay if you decide to move on after the credits roll without missing any crucial details.
Without a doubt, the key setup for what lies ahead in the DC Universe is subtly hinted at in the closing moments of the film; however, to preserve your enjoyment, we’ll keep those details under wraps here.
If you’re curious about the events unfolding in the post-credits sequences of the movie Superman, we’ve got all the juicy (potential) spoilers compiled for you right here.

Superman credit scenes explained
During the break between acts, there’s a charming and uncomplicated moment where we find Superman and his canine companion Krypto gazing tranquilly at Earth from the lunar surface.
If it appears reminiscent, it’s due to a striking resemblance to the initial glimpse of Krypto that Gunn unveiled as far back as October 2024.
In simpler terms, the post-credit sequence is extended, primarily meant for enthusiasts who like to see everything, as it’s an entertaining scene without any hints or foreshadowing.
After the climactic finale, we return to Metropolis where Lex Luthor’s reckless act of tearing open a gateway to his personal universe had put the city in peril. Fortunately, Mister Terrific managed to close the rift, but not before some buildings sustained damage during the process.
The setting finds Mr. Terrific and Superman examining a reconstructed building, which still sports a large fissure. Superman notes that it’s somewhat askew.
As a gamer, I stomp off angrily, leaving my peers behind. Superman calls out to me, urging, “Dude, you really shouldn’t have brought that up.
The sequence is amusing and offers additional insights into Mr. Terrific, which isn’t necessarily negative, but unfortunately, there’s nothing particularly compelling or engaging about it to keep viewers hooked.
Superman is out now in cinemas.
