What is the latest DCU rumor regarding Supergirl’s villain?
As per a recent update from well-known industry source Daniel Richtman, it appears that the character played by Schoenaerts in the series, Krem of the Yellow Hills, has undergone some changes. Richtman mentions that this revamped version of the character is now more akin to a fearsome creature and will be depicted eating dead alien rodents.
In the comic book series by Tom King, the movie’s inspiration, Krem from the Yellow Hills is a character who murders Ruthye Marye Knoll’s mother. Moved by grief and desire for vengeance, Ruthye subsequently enlists Supergirl’s aid to take down this assailant.

In a statement made in 2023, Gunn explained that Superman and Supergirl will be distinct due to their contrasting upbringings: Superman was nurtured by Earthly parents since infancy, while Supergirl hails from Krypton and experienced loss and trauma for the first 14 years of her life before coming to Earth as a young girl. Gunn emphasized that this version of Supergirl is not the soft-hearted one we’re accustomed to; she embodies a more rugged, hardcore persona.
