This year marked the first instance of a change, and notably, Ghana had undergone a 25% rise in costs due to adjustments in exchange rates earlier. Subsequently, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, and Zambia observed increases ranging from 16% to 18%, as a result of the implementation of VAT.
