Bad Bunny will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show for the second time. He previously appeared as a special guest during Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s performance in 2020.
Bad Bunny, whose full name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, explained that his feelings represent more than just personal achievement. He stated that this accomplishment is ‘for my people, my culture and our history.’
Jay-Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation, will produce the Super Bowl halftime show for another year. They’ve been working with the NFL on the show since 2019.
While Super Bowl halftime shows usually feature guest performers, neither Roc Nation nor the NFL has announced anyone for this year’s show yet.
Who will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl?
Charlie Puth will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the start of Super Bowl LX.
I recently learned how Charlie Puth landed the gig singing the national anthem – it’s a pretty cool story! Apparently, he started out gaining fans by posting covers on YouTube, and when the opportunity came up, he sent a demo to Roc Nation. They liked what they heard, and the rest is history!
Brandi Carlile, a winner of eleven Grammy Awards, will perform “America the Beautiful,” and Coco Jones, a Grammy winner herself, will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” before the game begins.

What are the overtime rules for NFL playoff games?
The NFL’s current overtime rules for the playoffs were mostly established in 2010. Last year, a change was made to ensure that both teams get a chance with the ball before the game can be won.
The rule change happened after people began to question the fairness of the playoff overtime system. This came about following a game in January 2022 where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills. Before the new rule, a team that received the ball first won the vast majority – 10 out of 11 – of playoff games that went to overtime under the existing rules.
Here’s a breakdown of the playoff overtime rules:
- A coin flip determines which team receives the opening kickoff.
- Each team will have the opportunity to possess the ball at least once before a winner is determined.
- Teams play 15-minute periods until there’s a winner.
- If the score is tied after each team’s first possession, the next score by either team (touchdown, field goal or safety) will win the game.
- There are no coach challenges, with all reviews being initiated by the replay official.
- Each team gets three timeouts per half (two overtime periods).
- If there is no winner after the fourth overtime period, there will be another coin toss before play resumes.
Who is the referee for Super Bowl LX?
Shawn Smith, a referee with 11 years of NFL experience, will be the official for Super Bowl LX. This will be his first time as the lead referee for the Super Bowl, though he previously served as an alternate for Super Bowls LV and LVIII.
The officiating crew for the Super Bowl will consist of Roy Ellison (umpire), Eugene Hall (side judge), Greg Steed (back judge), Dana McKenzie (down judge), Julian Mapp (line judge), Jason Ledet (field judge), and Andrew Lambert (replay official). This marks the first time any of them have worked the Super Bowl.
