Channel Seven personality, 45, announced the arrival of his daughter, Tilda Tobin, with his wife Farrah. He shared heartwarming photos from the hospital to mark the special occasion.
The first photo shows newborn Tilda resting in a hospital bassinet on a fluffy white towel. She’s wearing a small white t-shirt, with her legs curled up and her hands gently folded on her chest.
She had a small hospital identification band on her ankle as she slept soundly on fresh linen.
Another photo captures James in a heartfelt skin to skin moment with his daughter.
The actor from Sunrise is smiling broadly from his hospital bed, where he’s lying without a shirt. Tilda is nestled close, resting her cheek on his chest and covered with a light-colored striped blanket.
The proud new dad looks completely smitten as he cradles his daughter.
The third photo captures Farrah tenderly cradling Tilda, with a reassuring hand on the back of her head. The newborn looks forward with bright, inquisitive eyes.
‘Our little girl, Tilda Tobin,’ James wrote alongside a red heart emoji.
The post was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from TV colleagues and celebrity friends.
‘Congratulations you two. She’s absolutely beautiful,’ wrote Natalie Barr.
Jess Rowe added, ‘Oh congratulations to you all. Welcome to the world darling Tilda.’
Kylie Gillies chimed in with, ‘Best news update ever. So happy for your little fam.’
James and Farrah recently welcomed a new baby, a major moment for the couple. They shared the happy news earlier this year with a heartwarming photo of their ultrasound and a pregnancy announcement.
This marks the end of an exciting period for the couple, who tied the knot in October 2024 with a lovely, rustic wedding at the Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory.
The couple, who started dating in 2021, has generally kept their relationship to themselves, only occasionally sharing small updates with their fans.
At the time of their engagement, James acknowledged how important that privacy was.
He explained that while much of his life is public due to television, he intentionally keeps some aspects private, believing not everything needs to be shared.
The couple are starting a new adventure as parents, enjoying life at home with their baby, Tilda, and their growing family.
