Sunrise star Teegan Dolling has announced she is expecting her first child.
Teegan, age 28, usually reports entertainment news on Saturdays, but this time she had a personal story to share.
‘And some very personal “pop” news this morning. The Sunrise family is growing,’ she began.
She and her fiancé, Jamie, are expecting a baby in April. The hosts, Natarsha Belling and Hugh Whitfeld, were thrilled to hear the news.
Teegan shared that even though she’s only early in her pregnancy, she’s already feeling the impact of becoming a mother.
She admitted motherhood was already having an effect on her. ‘I can’t even have coffee anymore,’ she said, ‘and I’ve been craving mandarins constantly.’
Teegan said she was over the moon to be able to share the joyous news with the Sunrise audience.
‘We’re so excited to be able to bring Sunrise along on this journey with us,’ Teegan said.
We’re really hoping for some parenting tips, recommendations for the best baby products like strollers and nursery furniture, and even suggestions for baby names.
Teegan added she and Jamie had not settled on a name, as they want the gender to be a surprise.
She explained that not finding out the baby’s gender has given her a surprising amount of self-control.
‘So, that’s going to be a nice surprise for us come ANZAC Day.’
Teegan also took to Instagram on Saturday to break the news to her followers.
She posted a picture of herself showing off her pregnancy, wearing a Calvin Klein sports bra under a denim jacket.
Teegan was also holding a sonogram photo that showed her precious cargo.
She posted another picture of her and her fiancé holding hands, with a pair of tiny white knitted baby booties nestled between theirs.
‘Wondering who you will be,’ Teegan captioned the heartwarming images.
A black and white photo from the Sunrise announcement showed Teegan smiling and posing by herself with the baby booties.
Teegan and Jamie revealed they were engaged on their radio show in April 2024, and then posted photos of the proposal on Instagram.
Jamie proposed to their partner after seven years together, choosing a beautiful mountain view during a hike for the special occasion.
