It appears that the Yakuza have been pursuing The Dark Manual, possibly to learn how to effectively command robots such as Sunny for their illicit purposes. Given that we learned in episode 9, these bots can become aggressive and violent, which is exactly what Masa was afraid of and why he erased Sunny’s memories.

It appears that there may be additional details and possibly a quest in “Sunny” episode 10. This is based on the title alone since it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Unfortunately, Apple TV+ hasn’t revealed much about the plot, as you can see from the synopsis we provided below:

After learning the truth, Suzie fights for what matters most.

Apart from resolving the Yakuza issue, there are numerous loose ends that need to be tied up in the final episode. Will Sunny’s memories truly be erased once more? Could Suzie finally meet her son again, following her search for him? Is Masa still alive, and if he is, will he reunite with his family? The show has left us with numerous questions, and we eagerly anticipate their resolution in this episode!

A glance at episode 10 of “Sunny” offers an intriguing sneak peek, delving deeper into Japanese culture and mythology, seamlessly woven into the narrative. It’s one of the aspects I adore most about this series. Intriguingly, it seems the oni depicted in the clip are being likened to the Yakuza.
