Suits spin-off reveals new cast additions

As a dedicated fan with over a decade of watching legal drama series under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement as NBC’s upcoming spin-off of the iconic Suits franchise, Suits: LA, is finally taking shape. The addition of Rachelle Goulding and Azita Ghanizada to the already stellar cast, including Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg, promises a captivating narrative that I simply can’t wait to immerse myself in.

NBC’s upcoming Suits spin-off series Suits: LA has added two new cast members.

Earlier this year, a spin-off series set in Los Angeles, featuring ‘Arrow’s’ Stephen Amell as the lead character Ted Black (previously a New York federal prosecutor), was given the go-ahead.

As reported by Deadline, Rachelle Lefevre (from Firefly Lane) and Azita Ghanizada (known for United States of Al) are set to join Amell in the series, along with previously announced cast members Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, and Bryan Greenberg.

Goulding will be portraying Samantha, Ted’s former girlfriend and a prominent entertainment attorney. She heads another law firm based in Los Angeles, which is in fierce rivalry with Ted’s own company.

Ghanzida will portray the character of Roslyn, Ted’s trusted and dedicated secretary over many years. She is depicted as reliable, truthful, and competent, making her a dependable assistant.

In the midst of changes at work, Roslyn serves as an important confidante for Ted.

In the new season, Suits: LA will see Ted venturing to Los Angeles, where he teams up with an old friend, Stuart Lane (McDermitt), to establish a law firm. However, Ted faces a critical juncture as he is compelled to assume a role that he had despised throughout his career.

The show centers around Ted, who finds himself amidst an exceptional cast of individuals. These characters challenge their allegiances towards Ted and one another, as personal and work matters frequently intertwine.

As things continue, it’s becoming clear that past occurrences are gradually unfolding, revealing why Ted felt compelled to abandon all that he cherished years ago.

The original creator of Suits, Aaron Korsh, is back in action to pen the show’s script once more. Alongside him, Doug Liman, Dave Bartis, and Gene Klein all serve as executive producers for the series.

Suits: LA is set to premiere on February 23, 2025 on NBC.
