Suda51 and Shinji Mikami Keen to Make a Killer7 Complete Edition and Sequel

As a die-hard fan who’s been following the twisted, yet brilliant minds of Suda51 and Shinji Mikami since their Resident Evil days, this latest news has me absolutely ecstatic! The prospect of a Killer7 Complete Edition, potentially followed by Killer11, is like a dream come true.

It’s being considered by Suda51 and Shinji Mikami, the creators of Killer7, to release a complete edition of this game, potentially followed by a sequel titled ‘Killer11’. Shinji Mikami, who is also the director of Resident Evil, collaborated with Goichi Suda on writing Killer7, a violent cult classic that was initially released for PlayStation 2 and GameCube in 2005.

During this year’s Grasshopper Direct presentation (as reported by VGC), Mikami expressed that he prefers to maintain active involvement in game development, particularly with the creation of games. He also shared his hope that Suda might produce a follow-up to Killer7.

Wow, could it be true? Me, I’m holding my breath, dreaming of the day when we might witness a follow-up to Killer7. Perhaps even a Complete Edition!

Mikami stated, “Ultimately, the question is about your desire to succeed,” to which Suda responded, “I prefer to release a Completely Updated Version initially, followed by Killer11.”

Later, Mikami questioned Suda about the potential title, and after considering it, Suda suggested ‘Killer7: Beyond’ instead of Killer11. “The fans might really enjoy a Complete Edition,” Mikami continued. “It seems feasible to make that happen.”

After careful consideration, it appears we must determine whether Killer7: Beyond or the Complete Edition should be tackled first.

Prior to that, undoubtedly, the pair are eagerly anticipating the upcoming launch of “Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered” – set for release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 31st.
