Brian Cox, known for his role in Succession, will appear in season two of Dexter: Resurrection, the follow-up series to Dexter: New Blood. The show continues the story of Michael C. Hall’s serial killer character after the events of the previous series and debuted last year.
Before the next attempt, it’s been confirmed that Cox will portray Dom Frant, the notorious serial killer known as The New York Ripper, who committed his crimes years ago.
Although he’s stopped directly killing people, the villain continues to torment those who survived his past crimes, seemingly embracing his reputation as a murderer.

Fans got a hint about this character in the first season when a related file was discovered, but we haven’t actually seen the villain appear on screen yet.
Joining the returning actor Hall, the film Resurrection features a strong cast with Peter Dinklage, Uma Thurman, Eric Stonestreet, and Neil Patrick Harris.
What to Read Next
This series is the third spin-off of Dexter, following New Blood and Original Sin. The prequel, Original Sin, was cancelled after its first season, even though it had initially been renewed for a second season. The original Dexter series aired from 2006 to 2013.
Critics have overwhelmingly praised Resurrection, giving it a 95% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes after 64 reviews.

According to RogerEbert.com, the new version of Dexter will please longtime fans because it captures the dark and unsettling tone of the original show.
According to IndieWire, the show’s familiar setting, classic comedic style, and new villains – who are reminiscent of memorable killers from the early 2000s – are enough to draw in fans of that era.
Dexter: Resurrection is available to stream on Paramount+.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-colour magazine dedicated to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
