Succession boss announces new UK-set relationship drama with a twist
Actress Juno Temple, who is famously known for her role in Ted Lasso, has been confirmed to be part of The Husbands, an intriguing British drama exploring relationships with a surprising plotline.
The eight-episode series is penned by its primary writer Miriam Battye, who serves as an executive story editor for ‘Succession’, and directed by Craig Gillespie, famously known for directing ‘Cruella’. This production can be streamed on Apple TV+.
According to the book by author and game designer Holly Gramazio, Lauren, the protagonist, comes back home to discover a man who claims to be her husband already living there.

It eventually becomes evident that the lightbulb in her loft possesses the ability to generate an endless number of potential spouses for her. What may take Lauren more time to discern is: “How can this unique situation contribute to her personal growth and development?
Recently, another exciting Apple TV+ venture was unveiled – it’s none other than Season 4 of Ted Lasso, a development many thought would never occur given the earlier promises from those behind the scenes.
The announcement, titled “The Husbands” getting a go-ahead, clarified that since both productions are original content for Apple TV+, scheduling was made possible for Temple to shoot scenes for both series simultaneously.
Despite some challenges and no formal confirmation about Temple returning as Keeley in Ted Lasso season 4, preparations are underway for Ted Lasso to be filmed during the summer. On the other hand, The Husbands is slated to be filmed towards the end of autumn.
When production begins, it will happen in the UK.
You can currently stream seasons 1 through 3 of Ted Lasso on Apple TV+. Additionally, seasons 4 and The Husbands are planned for the platform, though their exact release dates remain undetermined at this time.
