I’m so excited! They just announced that Subway Surfers City is opening up for pre-registration, and it’s launching worldwide on February 26, 2026, for both Android and iOS! This isn’t just an update to the regular Subway Surfers – it’s a whole new game set in a much larger world called Subway City. It looks amazing, and I can’t wait to play!

This update arrives almost two years after the game first became available in July 2024. It initially launched as a limited release on Android and iOS in a few countries, such as Canada, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

Subway Surfers City expands its endless running core with districts and Secret Stars

The basic gameplay—running, dodging, collecting coins, and escaping the Guard and his dog—remains the same. However, Subway Surfers City introduces a big change to the setting. Instead of one continuous track, you’ll now be able to explore various neighborhoods throughout the city.

You’ll be able to open up new parts of the game by earning experience points (XP). The game also becomes more engaging with new moves like stomping, higher jumps, and the ability to drop to lower areas. Plus, you can find hidden paths and Secret Stars, which are tricky to find but worth the effort for curious players.

This time around, the surfers and their boards are much more important. Each one has special skills, and you can improve or mix and match them to create a style that works for you. Plus, there are plenty of missions, challenges, and limited-time events to keep things interesting – it’s a really packed experience!

Subway Surfers City now lets you play even without an internet connection, which is a big plus. While some features won’t work offline, it’s good that you’re not required to stay connected to play.
