Stuart Hogg Celebrates New Baby Just Weeks After Domestic Abuse Sentence!

Yesterday, the disgraced Scottish rugby player Stuart Hogg exited the hospital radiant with joy, accompanied by his newest addition – their fifth child.

This month, Leonna Major, a television host who was previously a jockey, welcomed their first child as his new partner.

The baby was born prematurely and after a short stay in hospital they were finally allowed home.

She wrote: ‘A beautiful perfect bundle on 12/2/2025 at just 4lb 6oz.

Over the past seven days, I’ve been nestled securely within a nurturing cocoon here at Saint Roch Hospital. The dedicated midwives have kept a watchful eye on me while providing exceptional care, making each moment feel like a blessing.

‘He’s feeding like a trooper and was allowed home on Wednesday.’

News about the birth occurred just a few weeks following when Hogg narrowly avoided jail time due to charges of domestic abuse against his wife, Gillian.

On the 9th of January, I stood before Selkirk Sheriff Court and admitted to a solitary charge of domestic abuse, which I had confessed to in November.

Instead of serving time in prison, Hogg was spared incarceration and instead received a Community Service Sentence, which requires him to be under supervision for a period of one year, as an alternative punishment for the charges against him.

Additionally, he received a penalty of £600 and a court injunction lasting five years, which prohibits any form of contact with his former partner.

In their relationship, the rugby player was often seen as aggressive and domineering, leaving Gillian fearful of his actions when he had consumed alcohol.

In response to the statement, Dr. Marsha Scott, CEO of Scottish Women’s Aid, deemed it insignificant and stated that Hogg is accused of inflicting a five-year campaign of fear and intimidation on his ex-partner.

In 2016, they got married, but they separated in November 2023. Not long afterward, news about his new relationship surfaced, a mere few days following the birth of their fourth child, who was still legally recognized as his spouse at that time.

Originally from Glasgow Warriors and currently playing with Montpellier in France, Hogg accumulated an impressive 100 national team caps prior to his sudden retirement in July two years back.

In the 2024 New Year’s Honours, he received an MBE, yet there are voices advocating for the removal of this prestigious state honor from him.
