Strictly’s Vicky Pattison chips tooth during ‘spicy lift’ with Kai Widdrington in rehearsals after suffering bloodied face and illness in latest injury

Honestly, it’s been a rough week watching Vicky Pattison on Strictly! She actually chipped her tooth *and* cut her face during rehearsals. It’s so stressful to see her pushing herself, but she’s such a trooper!

Let me tell you, prepping for a show like this takes serious work! I recently had a little mishap while practicing a lift with my partner, Kai. It was a pretty ambitious move – we were going for something really dynamic – and unfortunately, I ended up with a bit of an injury. It’s all part of the process, though, and we’re working through it!

To make matters worse, she got sick earlier this week, which caused her to miss appearing on *It Takes Two*. Then, her dog, Max, playfully scratched her face.

Vicky posted a photo to her Instagram Story showing her bloodied face, joking that she was ‘overdue for some good luck.’

It’s been a rough week! I was sick earlier in the week, then I chipped my tooth while riding in an elevator with Kai. And just now, Max got so excited to see me that he accidentally bumped my nose and made it bleed.

‘I can’t be mad…but I am b****y due some good luck surely.’ 

Vicky and Kai weren’t able to appear on the Strictly: It Takes Two show on Monday as planned.

But just before the show was set to begin, she announced she was sick, and her dance partner, Kai, wasn’t feeling well either.

Okay, so things took a bit of an unexpected turn! I had to share that I won’t be able to join Kai on ‘It Takes Two’ tonight. Huge apologies to anyone who was hoping to watch – I’m so sorry for the last-minute change of plans!

‘Doing all we can to get back to our best and back to the training room asap.’

Along with her update, the former Geordie Shore star shared a photo of the things helping her feel better, like throat lozenges, cough syrup, ginger shots, oranges, and juice, as she recovered from being sick.

Fans grew worried that Vicky might have left the show, so she went back to Instagram on Thursday to clarify what was happening.

She shared a happy selfie with Kai, explaining that they had to miss their usual appearance on ‘It Takes Two’ because Kai was sick earlier in the week and she wasn’t feeling her best either. She clarified that was the only reason.

She quickly clarified that reports of her leaving Strictly were false. She’s enjoying the show and very thankful for the opportunity. She also shared that her partner, Kai, is feeling better, and they’re back to rehearsals and will appear on tonight’s It Takes Two. She just wanted to set the record straight.

Vicky and Kai are busy practicing for their Charleston dance on Saturday night’s live show. They’ll be performing to the song “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody” from the movie *The Great Gatsby*.

This weekend, the professional dancers will perform a routine inspired by the popular story of Wicked, both the stage musical and the movie.

Viewers can expect to see the professional dancers on the BBC series perform in elaborate, story-driven costumes as part of their routines.

The photos show the actresses wearing black outfits inspired by the Wicked Witch of the West, specifically the character Elphaba Thropp, while the actors are dressed as Prince Fiyero.

Jason Gilkinson created a special dance routine that will be shown on Saturday night to celebrate the release of the second ‘Wicked’ movie, ‘Wicked: For Good’.

Actress Cynthia Erivo, who played Elphaba in last year’s first *Wicked* movie alongside Ariana Grande, will be among those watching.

Cynthia, age 38 and an Academy Award nominee for her part in a hugely successful movie, is joining the show as the first-ever Guest Mentor.

The actress was a guest judge on the show in 2021, filling in for Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.

This time, she will help the celebrities is preparing for their film-themed dances.
