As a dance enthusiast who has been following Strictly Come Dancing for years, I must say this week’s turn of events has been quite intriguing. The news about Nick’s knee injury and the subsequent cancellation of the official podcast are two pieces of information that have left fans like me in a bit of a spin.

On Saturday, Tess Daly exuded an exceptional charm as she gracefully started the Strictly Come Dancing live performance, all dressed up in a stylish pastel ensemble coordinated set.

55-year-old TV host captivated everyone with her radiant appearance in a stylish lilac set that consisted of a top with an off-shoulder corset design and wide-legged pants.

She styled her golden hair neatly and chose shimmery silver eyeshadow, along with a glamorous array of cosmetics.

The star completed her look with silver heels and jewellery to match, including a chunky bangle.

To initiate the fourth live performance, she teamed up with her fellow actor Claudia, who was 52 years old. She captivated the audience in an elegant black gown adorned with puffed sleeves and a lengthy see-through skirt.

She added inches to her height with a pair of black and gold strappy heels, accessorising with an array of gold bracelets and rings to match.

The presenter showcased her well-known bang, styling her dark hair in a large, wavy pattern, while sticking to her preferred smoky eye cosmetics look.

A day after the confirmation that Nick Knowles would be dancing, he made a swift return to the screen following two injuries he sustained while on the program.

62-year-old Nick Knowles, star of DIY SOS, received good news from medical professionals on Friday. They stated that he could dance on the floor once more this coming Saturday, just a week following an injury that led to his withdrawal from Movie Week.

After a period of not speaking up, Nick shared some good news on Instagram – he’ll be returning this coming Saturday evening! He felt it was unfortunate to have been away last week and now, he’s thoroughly bitten by the dance bug again.

He began: ‘Hello everyone. Well I watched last week show feeling so sad that I wasn’t there. Of course I loved cheering on everyone else but I really missed it. I missed being part of it.

When I joined Strictly Dance, I hadn’t imagined for an instant that I would become so passionate about it, but now I can confirm that I’ve been bitten by the dancing bug. So, I’m overjoyed to return tomorrow.

Expressing heartfelt appreciation, he stated, “I’m deeply thankful to every physio and the entire medical staff at BBC for helping me stand again. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow night.

A representative from the BBC added: “Everyone here is thrilled that Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk will be taking to the dance floor this coming Saturday! It’s wonderful news that Nick has received the green light from our medical and physical therapy teams after his injury last week.

Since they had some time off from their training this week, they’ll be dancing the Charleston for Movies Week with the song “Rain on the Roof” from Paddington 2.

During an appearance on It Takes Two on Friday, Fleur East announced that Nick Knowles and Luba would perform their Charleston routine again on Saturday, much to the delight of fans who have been eagerly waiting for this dance.

On Wednesday, he resumed rehearsals for their dance routine, ready to take the stage alongside his professional partner Luba.

Overjoyed with excitement, I couldn’t contain my enthusiasm when I learned that Nick would grace our screens again in the upcoming episode. I simply had to express it: “Tomorrow, Nick and Luba will be dancing! Can’t wait!

On Saturdays, Nick Knowles and Luba will show off their dancing skills on Strictly. We’re excited for their Paddington-themed charleston, but let’s keep our fingers crossed that his knee holds up since it moves quite swiftly!

A quip was made: ‘Thank goodness Nick Knowles can dance tomorrow! I have a feeling he might be competing with Paul in the dance-off on Sunday. Catch us next time at 6:20.’

After Nick shared significant health news about his participation in Strictly, it happened immediately afterward on Wednesday.

Option A: He posted an update for his followers on Instagram as well as discussed it during a segment on It Takes Two, co-hosted by Luba.

In the Instagram clip, he shared with followers: “I’ve just had a peek backstage at It Takes Two, and here’s some fantastic news – the physiotherapists have given me permission to resume training starting from tomorrow!

It seems we don’t have a definitive go-ahead for Saturday just yet. I need to see how things turn out tomorrow, and a final call will be made by Friday.

Clearly, I’ll keep you informed throughout our journey. Just wanted to express my gratitude for the warm wishes and encouragement I’ve received so far. Here’s hoping I can dance on Saturday!

During a chat with Janette Manrara on the spin-off show of the BBC dance competition, It Takes Two, Nick elaborated on the events that transpired on Friday.

He explained: ‘We’d had a great week learning the dance and we were doing the camera tech rehearsals where the cameras get to see how the dance works and everything.

In the final move of the dance, I found myself arriving belatedly at the correct spot and performed a leap, but unfortunately, only one of my legs remained stationary while the rest of my body continued its momentum.

‘Had a bit of a collapse and realised it wasn’t in a good position. I hurt my knee basically.’

Looking on the positive side, he remarked: “Every day shows some improvement. To tell you the truth, things seemed quite grim on Friday. Saturday wasn’t great either, but we got a scan, so we opted to hold off until Monday for a better understanding of the situation.

On Monday, things felt a bit more intense, but today I visited the physical therapists. I’ve been assisted by everyone in the rehabilitation and physical therapy teams, as well as the doctors. They’ve given me the green light to attempt dancing tomorrow for training.

Training tomorrow could potentially lead to more sessions. However, the outcome tomorrow remains uncertain. At this point, we can only predict based on what happens tomorrow.

It also comes after Strictly Come Dancing: The Official Podcast was axed by the BBC.

The company made it clear to OK! magazine that their podcast, which has been discussing every series since 2019, won’t make a comeback in 2023.

Under the guidance of Joe Sugg, who previously participated alongside his current partner Dianne Buswell, and executive producer Kim Winston, this podcast provided exclusive glimpses, detailed conversations, and candid commentary about the popular series, including its behind-the-scenes secrets, juicy gossip, and more.

As a devoted supporter, I’d like to share some news about Strictly Come Dancing: The Official Podcast. In the early part of the year 2024, we, the team behind it, chose to bring this wonderful podcast to an end. This decision was not made lightly and we appreciate your understanding and continued support for all things Strictly!

We’re extremely pleased with the recent six series and want to express our gratitude towards Joe Sugg, Kim Winston, and the entire team who played their part in making it successful. For those who love ‘Strictly’, don’t forget to check out our weekly TV podcast called Off The Telly.

According to the representative, Joanna Page and Natalie Cassidy from Off The Telly will be sharing their thoughts about the show, rather than hosting it.

In last week’s Strictly Come Dancing competition, singing star Toyah Willcox along with her professional partner Neil Jones were voted off as the second couple to exit. They lost their spot to footballer Paul Merson and his partner Karen Hauer during the dance-off.

After the judge’s ruling, Toyah couldn’t help but express her admiration for ‘remarkable’ Neil, proclaiming that her time on the program had been “the most wonderful two months of my life!

After receiving a score of 15 out of 40 on Saturday, placing them at the bottom of the leaderboard, duos repeated their performances, with Toyah and Neil dancing the Samba to “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid.

As they danced the Cha Cha to The Magnificent Seven tune, their initial score was 19.)

Following the dance performance, the trio of judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke – collectively decided to keep Paul and Karen on the competition.
