Strictly’s Pete Wicks heads home from training with pro partner Jowita Przystal and Dr Punam Krishan as the dances for week five are revealed
Oh boy, oh boy! As a die-hard Strictly fan with a heart full of sequins and glitter, I’ve been living, breathing, and dancing (in my living room) to every move these stars make. The energy that Pete Wicks brings to the dance floor is simply electrifying! With each step, he’s proving that he’s not just a reality TV star, but a true dancer at heart.
They earned their highest score yet with an impressive Quickstep on Saturday.
It wasn’t unexpected that Strictly Come Dancing celebrity Pete Wicks was in a cheerful mood, given that he was returning home following another day of rehearsals alongside his dance partner Jowita Przystal on Tuesday.
Previously recognized TOWIE personality, aged 36, was spotted exiting practice sessions alongside co-celebrity competitor Dr Punam Krishan, as the complete lineup of tunes and routines for week five got unveiled.
Over the weekend, Pete and Jowita managed to accumulate 29 points from their Quickstep performance to The Jam’s “A Town Called Malice,” out of a possible 40 points.
This coming week, the duo plans to dance the Rumba to the song “Don’t Look Back In Anger” by Oasis as an attempt to secure a place during Halloween Week, which falls on October 26th.
Last weekend, Dr. Punam managed to avoid elimination by a slim margin. She and her dance partner, Gorka Marquez, ended up at the very bottom of the scoreboard the previous week.
In a somewhat challenging performance, the duo found it tough to convince the judges that their rendition of “2 Be Loved” by Lizzo in Jive format was spot-on, as the panel pointed out various errors they spotted throughout the dance.
However, this week the duo will be dancing a Viennese Waltz to She’s Always A Woman by Billy Joel.
Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin plan to perform a Quickstep routine set to the tune of Natasha Bedingfield’s popular song “Unwritten.” Meanwhile, Paul Merson and Karen Hauer will return to Latin dance style for their performance, executing a Samba rhythm to the beat of “Car Wash” by Rose Royce.
Wynne Evans and Katya will also perform a Quickstep to Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky” in their upcoming performance, following their explanation that an awkward hand gesture during the live show on Saturday was actually a private joke between them.
Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola are set to perform “Do It, Do It Again” by Rafaella Carrà, whereas Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas will dance the Paso Doble to “Malagueña” by Ernesto Lecuona in their performance.
Following their successful scoring of 10s in the dance series last week, Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec are set to dance a Tango this week to the song “Dog Days Are Over” by Florence + The Machine.
Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell will honor Liverpool by performing a Waltz to the tune of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Gerry and the Pacemakers.
JB Gill and Amy Dowden will be performing a lively Jive routine to the popular song “Hey Ya!” by Outkast, while Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe have chosen to dance a Couple’s Choice number to the track “Skeleton Move” by Master KG.
Completing the lineup of acts are Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu. These two artists, having made it through the dance-off the previous week, will present an American Smooth rendition of “Get Here” by Sam Smith.
On Monday, Katya and Wynne graced the stage of BBC’s It Takes Two. Here, the skilled dancer voiced her displeasure towards critics who had allegedly been unkind to her famous partner. Moreover, they shared warm moments for photographs prior to the performance.
It’s been verified that Katya didn’t take offense, and both the welfare and production crews have reached out to check on her.
According to what they shared with The Mirror, Wynne and Katya admitted that their antics in the Clauditorium were prearranged funny pranks. They’ve expressed their apologies to anyone who might have misunderstood their actions.
The source added: ‘They addressed them on Wynne’s Instagram, where their apology can be found.
Katya wants to make it clear that she wasn’t hurt or uneasy due to Wynne, as she has already explained on her Instagram account as well.
The teams responsible for well-being and output have examined the situation with this pair, and at present, no additional steps are scheduled.
