As a lifestyle expert with extensive experience in the world of entertainment and dance, I must say that it’s heartening to see Strictly Come Dancing taking such proactive steps towards creating a safer and more inclusive environment for all its participants. The introduction of third-party chaperones and new anti-bullying measures is a commendable step in the right direction, especially in light of past incidents that have tarnished the show’s reputation.

Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal, both from Strictly Come Dancing, were spotted exiting a dance practice session accompanied by their chaperone following the implementation of the BBC’s updated anti-bullying policies.

Due to allegations of misconduct levied against Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima, the show’s management has decided that from now on, all future rehearsals will be supervised by an independent third party.

On Wednesday, after a lengthy 10-hour practice session, it appeared that Pete (age 36) and his dance partner Jowita (age 30), who are both associated with Strictly, were enjoying a good rapport with their chaperone, as they were spotted embracing each other.

The TOWIE star looked exhausted as he left the dance studio ahead of the first live show on Saturday, that will see him dance a Paso Doble to Firestarter by The Prodigy.

He was casually clad in a black bomber jacket and trousers, weighed down by a large Louis Vuitton holdall and mini suitcase.

Jowita also opted for black as she sported a light jacket and skintight leggings.

2021 marks the 20th anniversary of Strictly, and this year, the program has introduced a variety of anti-harassment policies.

In my role as a lifestyle advisor, I’ve learned that changes often come from unexpected events. Last October, when the talented Amanda Abbington unexpectedly left her show, it necessitated a thorough investigation into misconduct by the BBC. As a result of this incident, new measures have been implemented to ensure a safer and more respectful environment for all involved in future productions.

Several months have passed, and professional dancer Graziano was dismissed following the disclosure that BBC personnel had witnessed video evidence of him appearing to kick his celebrity partner Zara McDermott.

Consequently, the BBC brought on supervisors (chaperones) to monitor the teams during the upcoming series. It’s been disclosed that these chaperones have been directed to report any inappropriate behavior to an assistant for further action.

According to a source, they have been instructed to document both positive instances during rehearsals as well as any potential issues that might arise.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t emphasize enough the importance of reaching out immediately to the helpline if something goes awry. Swift action ensures that any misdeeds are addressed expeditiously, providing a sense of security and resolution.

Researchers will rotate among various practice studios to avoid developing overly familiar relationships with the professional dancers and celebrities.

Additionally, it’s been disclosed that the BBC might tighten its rules regarding couples practicing beyond their allotted training hours.

The producers are reintroducing a weekly limit for rehearsal time, so celebrities and their dance partners will be restricted to approximately 48 hours of practice per week.

Last year, the cap was apparently instituted to ensure fairness among couples, and on average it amounts to approximately eight hours daily, excluding Sundays.

A source told The Sun: ‘The celebs have been told they have to stick to the cap.

‘They’re all incredibly competitive and desperate to do well.

To ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity, leaders have clearly defined the rules.

50-year-old actress Amanda from the show Sherlock has raised several criticisms towards Giovanni regarding his teaching techniques, labeling his behavior as “uncalled-for, harsh, unkind, and malicious.” However, Giovanni firmly refutes all these allegations.

Similarly, many celebrities before them have expressed concerns about the demanding timetable of the dance program as well.

Previously, Laura Whitmore (Giovanni’s ex-partner) mentioned that she found it less enjoyable to spend extended periods with Giovanni, the professional dancer from Italy, during their time together on the show in 2016.

In a 2020 conversation on Jamie Laing and Francis Boulle’s “Private Parts” podcast, Laura shared more insights about her past event.

What she disliked was being separated from everyone and having to spend 12 hours daily with just one individual.

I had no interest in participating in the spectacle of walking red carpets alongside your dance partner, as many believed it was necessary. To put it simply, I chose not to engage in such activities.
