Lewis Cope and Katya Jones, who are on Strictly, had a serious conversation during a break from practicing for the live show.

The 30-year-old actor from Emmerdale has amazed viewers with his impressive dance performances on this season of the BBC show.

Although he and Katya Jones seem to work well together, recent photos published by The Sun suggest there might be some underlying tension between them.

Lewis and Katya seemed to be having a serious conversation, and the actor had his arms crossed as they talked.

According to a witness, the dancers appeared focused and intense during a break in their practice session.

I’m so excited to see them dance the Rumba this week! It’s known as a really difficult dance, and they’ve chosen Harry Styles’ ‘Falling’ as their song. I think it’s a beautiful choice and I can’t wait to see how they interpret it!

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Lewis and Katya for comment.  

Lewis and Katya seemed close and comfortable together while spending a day in Blackpool earlier this month, just before their performance in the ballroom special.

They were in good spirits as they loaded up on carbs in a fish and chips shop. 

Lewis was seen out in the cold British weather with his girlfriend, Rachel Maya Lopez, who doesn’t often appear in public. He looked relaxed in a navy coat paired with a matching shirt and trousers.

Katya finished getting dressed, pulling on a long grey coat, a black fur scarf, and some sturdy, lace-up boots.

The couple strolled around the popular beach location, where Lewis was seen with his arm around Katya, who was resting her head on his shoulder.

The two friends shared a laugh while enjoying chips at the fish and chips counter.

Katya and Lewis were filming in Blackpool for a BBC show before they compete on Saturday night, and were taking in the sights while they worked.

George Clarke really embraced the spirit of Blackpool, sporting an ‘I heart Blackpool’ T-shirt along with a pink cowboy hat and furry sunglasses.

The social media celebrity made a striking impression with their outfit, finishing the look with a vibrant green feather scarf.

This follows Lewis sharing his girlfriend Rachel’s true feelings about his Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya, after they received the first perfect score of the season earlier this month.

The Emmerdale actor received a perfect score of 40 alongside his professional dance partner, Katya, who has previously been linked to the ‘Strictly curse’ – a pattern of relationships forming between contestants and their partners on the show.

But Lewis has now revealed that the curse, and Katya, are not a concern for him and Rachel.

Lewis confessed that his girlfriend is accustomed to him sharing intimate moments with others, having kissed people in his acting roles both in movies and on stage.

He credited Pilates instructor and dancer Rachel as his greatest source of support, and he says concerns about the ‘Strictly curse’ have never been discussed between them.

He told The Sun that because he’s kissed many people for his acting roles over the years, his partner is actually used to him kissing other men, and it’s never been an issue.

‘Katya and Rachel have all met, it’s never been a conversation between us.’

He shared that Rachel has been incredibly supportive throughout the entire process, always cheering him on. She goes above and beyond, even packing him lunch for rehearsals and generally taking great care of him.
