Strictly's Carlos Gu is forced to PULL OUT of Christmas Special following an ankle injury - and a replacement has already stepped in

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for dance and an appreciation for resilience, I must say that this news about Carlos Gu’s injury is indeed unfortunate. Having had my fair share of dance-related mishaps myself, I understand the disappointment that comes with being sidelined from a performance, especially one as highly anticipated as the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I must share some sad news with you all: I’ve learned that our beloved dancer, Carlos Gu, won’t be tapping his toes on the dancefloor for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special this year. Alas, he’s had to bow out due to an unfortunate ankle injury. Here’s hoping he makes a swift recovery and we can enjoy his moves again soon!

This month, it became known that the 31-year-old professional dancer will be partnering with contestant Vogue Williams, who is 39 years old.

In an unexpected turn of events, I find myself unable to participate in the upcoming dance show. Stepping into my shoes, so to speak, is the talented Gorka Márquez who will undoubtedly bring a fresh and energetic vibe to the stage.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I regretfully have to share some unfortunate news. The talented professional dancer, Carlos Gu, has unfortunately suffered an ankle injury and won’t be able to dance with Vogue Williams for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.

It’s been announced that Gorka Márquez, another skilled dancer, will take his place and perform with Vogue instead. Everyone sends their well wishes for a quick recovery.

Last week, when the complete line-up for the Strictly Christmas special unfurled, I couldn’t help but feel my heart skip a beat upon seeing Billy Monger among the stellar cast.

He will be paired with Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Nadiya Bychkova.

Billy, both a racing driver and television host, has achieved podium finishes in British Formula 3 and mirrored Lewis Hamilton’s success by claiming victory at the Pau Grand Prix in the European Formula 3 series.

In a high-speed crash during a Formula 4 race, he sustained severe injuries that ultimately required the amputation of both his legs.

Despite this, Billy refused to give up on his racing career, lobbying to allow both disabled and non-disabled drivers to race alongside each other.

Billy Monger said: ‘I’ve spent the last 12 months training 20 hours a week for an Ironman world record attempt, but the thought of donning sequins in front of Craig Revel Horwood fills me with a fear I’ve never experienced before.’

I find myself well outside my usual comfort zone with this endeavor! Since my relatives are avid “Strictly” enthusiasts, I’ve decided to take on the challenge as a tribute to them and to generate interest in the charity work I’ll be doing for Comic Relief next year.

‘I’m just hoping my leg doesn’t fall off mid-dance!’

During the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special, every pair among the half-dozen will display a performance brimming with holiday spirit, aiming to win over the judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Head Judge Shirley Ballas – as well as the cheering studio audience who will vote.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on Christmas Day on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

The announcement that Carlos is no longer participating in the show follows his decision to speak openly about his disagreement with his colleague, Nancy Xu.

Since their childhood in China, these skilled dancers have always been close friends. However, a disagreement or misunderstanding occurred that led them to cease communicating and even block each other on their social platforms.

It has been said that the friendship between Carlos and his previous companion cooled off, as Carlos felt let down when he wasn’t matched with a celebrity for this particular series.

During a conversation with Richard Eden from The Daily Mail recently, for the first time since their disagreement, Carlos expressed that they are in good standing.

He mentioned that they’re doing well. Having been friends for a long time, they sometimes have disagreements, but their bond is so strong that it’s unlikely they’d ever become estranged, being more like close-knit siblings.

Earlier this month, a reliable source shared with The Sun: ‘The conflict between Nancy and Carlos is truly unfortunate and has left everyone quite stunned.’

‘They’ve been close since childhood, but have fallen out and unfollowed each other on socials.’

As a devoted follower reporting, I’ve learned from an additional reliable source that both Carols and Nancy maintain a warm and highly professional demeanor while on the set of Strictly.

TopMob has contacted the dancer’s representative and the BBC for comment.
